Hm...Does anyone here have any advice on Cosplay?

I was originally going to go to a yearly Hetalia cosplay event with a friend just to take photo's, but ended up feeling brave and offered/promised to go as Spain.

I haven't cosplayed in three years, and back then it was just under the context of "halloween." I cosplayed as the singer of a Visual Kei group (Hikaru of Hizaki Grace Project) so it was easy to pass as a goth among strangers. I tend to judge myself a little too harshly, so I'm a little embarrassed/nervous.

Figuring out which version is in the Vizio and how it would affect gaming performance in comparison to the standard 640M seems like a nightmare. At least I know what I'm getting with the Gigabyte U2442, which is smaller and uses the standard 2gb 640M.

I really like the 15.6" Notebook, but I just don't know much about that card, save for the fact that people on other forums have told me to avoid the LE edition.

 

That sucks.  Hope it doesn't get any worse.

 

 

Most characters these days are too bishie for me to pull off so I've never even tried.

Check it again. Now it's fixed. I don't know what's wrong the first time, but it sucks if it's happening often. Come on jude (and other guys) stop mucking and breaking HF.

When it happened I was coming from the north side of town and all I saw was a huge plume of black smoke coming from the east side of town. A few minutes later there was a transit all call to all the buses that run routes into the east side to immediately stop and stall their buses. About 5 minutes after that emergency vehicles and cop cruisers went flying by me heading toward the east side. All this crap happened at the beginning of our rush hour and when I got my bus into downtown at around 5:00 PM, which is the height of rush hour, the whole place was one big cluster %$#@ of bumper to bumper traffic. The roadways running east were all backed up from the east side industrial park where the blast happened right back into the heart of downtown. According to a buddy of mine the WPD were running around trying to figure out where to reroute traffic and by the time they figured something out it was to late cars and trucks were backed up as far as the eye could see. There was also a lot of running around trying to get vehicles away from the fire zone which is located on the edge of an industrial park. There were buses stuck in the east side for a good hour and when they started moving they were forced to reroute a good 20 minutes travel time off their routes. The bad part about that was the buses were being funneled into other road arteries that the downtown backup was being funneled into meaning even more gridlock.

 

Here's the kicker, I used to drive by that fuel plant everyday going to and from my old job. The place is only about a quarter block from the plant I used to work in. I used to sit outside when it was summer for a smoke during lunch and I could see the fuel storage bins in the distance. When I got home I placed a phone call to a old work friend of mine and he said when the blast occurred everyone was either walking to their lockers or was changing to go home. The force of the blast caused the windows to crack and the floor to shake and all the power went out with the exception of the emergency power backup lights. People became freaked and ran out the emergency exits to their cars and took off for home while others just stayed put to scared to go outside because they didn't know what to expect. The ones who left quick enough got out of the general area before the backup the ones who didn't got stuck in the gridlock. My buddy told me his usual 20 minute drive home took him almost two hours.

On the bright side, at least no one died or got hurt (I'm assuming).  Small blessings and all...
 

It's a given that using the Sony mdr7550 is a bad idea of you're going to travel by subway. But nope, I did it anyway. It turns out pretty well, only there's a rumble in everything :-P

LOL, that's actually a very cute and handy little one. What's the resolution? It looks kind of high, and it seems to me that the hardware might actually be better than the size would lead me to believe. Must be pretty hard typing on it, but for browsing the web it may very well do the trick. I remember when I was little and bought those databank type of things:

 

Not exactly that one, but they looked about the same.

 

However, it's pretty incredible to see how much they can squeeze into a small form factor, when you were raised up with less than a C64 into pretty much the same:ish size (those databanks were a bit smaller, but in the grander scheme of things ... both look more or less pocket sized to me).

I never learned to use it though, and by the time I had began learning BASIC, I had a C64 and could do coding on it instead. I never really learned coding BASIC though, but merely do some grafic tricks and stuff, like a flying balloon over the screen with the colors changing. 

 

As for an ultrabook, my friend, I'd probably go with a Zenbook at this moment. They are pretty well priced and there is a version with a discrete graphics card. As for the 640M LE, I believe the only thing funky about it is that it's (supposedly) very underclocked (making it good for overclocking). Personally, I haven't done any overclocking with MSI Afterburner (or any other software), but I remember attempting overclocking when it was done with jumpers on the motherboard.

 

Speaking of ultrabooks, I just heard that the U500 I talked about earlier, with the IPS screen, is going to be somewhere above $2000 .. which is absolutely too much for my taste. It's a good one, but I couldn't have imagined it being that expensive. Oh well, if you wouldn't mind a 17" screen, I'd suggest you to take a look the chronos series from Samsung: 700Z7C. In my opinion it looks really good, and has some powerful specs, and is not $2000.

 

The only gripe I have with Vizio is their keyboard. It's apparently pretty bad IIRC. Also, Vizios don't exist in Sweden, so I haven't really been studying it, even though I have read reviews out of sheer interest.

I actually own a Vizio thin+light. In my experience, the keyboard is actually pretty good, the screen is beautiful, and it's incredibly fast.

However, the battery life is a little low, and the trackpad could use work compared to the mac one.

Hm. average_joe's review of the Hidition NT-6 Pro could maybe be summarized as, "The archetypal hi-fi sound, in pill form!"

 

This is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if that's the sort of thing you want. It gets me thinking.

Perhaps the verge was exaggerating the problematic nature of this laptop (admittedly, I think have a bit of apple bias tbh). I can't tell, I've never felt one and probably never will. But they do look good imo.
