In China it's a bit more crude (as in, I remember the doctors being quite rough about it), not to mention they kick you out the night after.

YOU call me Twinky. Everyone else calls me wifey or crackers or twinsta or twinkies or sloot.
Okay maybe Twinky would be better than any of those.

It happens like once or twice a month. Not ER-worthy most of the time.
Oh.... I imagined a tube up the other way... Nevermind.

Yep smily_headphones1.gif TWINKY !!!!

I looked at your name one day and saw tht it pronounced my most hated snack

That's just plain unhygienic. What if they do do it the other way sometimes and alternate depending on the patient....

Well then, just ruined my weekend even more, and I didn't think that was possible.

I hate twinkies as well. Diabetes tubes of sugary sweetness.

Well guys I've come to a final decision as far as the Heir Audio 4A's are concerned. They're definitely staying and are easily the best sounding gear I currently own. My fit issues have all disappeared and today I was walking around in the cold for a good hour without having to tap on them even once to refit them for a better seal. I'm currently wearing them and it's been a good 2 hours and counting and I haven't felt any discomfort or seal issues. I don't know, I guess I've become better at inserting them and getting a good seal. I especially like the 4A's when driven with my CLAS-db/ALO RX MKIII-B setup. I do get a little hiss on the 4A's with this setup but it's not noticeable when the music starts to play. For anyone interested I emailed ALO concerning my MKIII amp not having any knobs and they sent out a new replacement amp and I should have it in another 2 or 3 days. I'm going to have to send the defective MKIII amp back to them and ALO has agreed to reimburse me the shipping cost. I'm worried customs might hit me all over again with duties so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm sure if they do I can get my money back but I would much rather avoid the hassle altogether. ALO originally wanted to send me a return shipping label through FedEx but I asked the amp be sent out USPS instead due to FedEx's overly greedy customs clearance practices. The end result is ALO couldn't send me a return shipping label so I'll have to ship it myself and wait for ALO to reimburse me. In any case I'm currently very happy with my experience as far as customs are concerned and it looks like I've finally made the step to the next level as far as mobile hi fi is concerned. That's pretty bad news for my wallet.

THIS. Coleslaw is delicious when made right (and not defrosted), though I will say I prefer potato salad, given the choice.

Well I hope your week makes up for your terrible weekend :)

I am also not a fan on Twinkies, so I can understand your grief.

TwinQY, sorry to hear about your issues. I have a really good friend who has Crohn's disease who had some incredibly serious eating issues for a long time (think feeding tube as a teenager). Over the past decade it seems he's been much better but still avoids overly acidic things like orange juice. I guess the point is that I've seen how much it can suck to have to worry about what you eat for fear of big issues.

On the subject of twinkies, I think the only time I ever enjoyed them was when I was out camping with some friends, and we grilled/smoked some twinkies and covered them in some locally produced orange marmalade.

Though it could be that I didn't really enjoy them that much as I may or may not have been under the influence...

Well, I figured I'd post a song made by some of my old teachers and friends from the days when I was still a musician. These guys are the one's who introduced me to salsa and many other Cuban and Puerto Rican styles. They've long since gone their separate ways, but I hope someone here enjoys it.

I try to avoid anything with mayo in it that I didn't make myself - and I don't make anything with mayo in it except Ranch dressing. I would have no hesitation in reporting a restaurant for a legitimate case of food poisoning. A restaurant that can't prevent food poisoning doesn't deserve to be in business.

Must have been spiked with pineapple.....very_evil_smiley.gif

Jokes asides, I am glad Twinky is OK after the ordeal. And I have to agree with Lee that coleslaw is disgusting.

Problem is I don't want to give up on the Q can without a fight lol.

Let's pretend that you'll win at some point at a later date.  In the meantime, how about some Mad Dogs?

Hmm, kinda interesting that the loss of power coincided with my absence?  ::cue X-Files theme::

YES.  I had to wave off a fellow Head-Fier from these the other day.  They're just not very good IMO.  And they're crazy freakin' big.

LOL, there's an easy way to solder surface mount components... where you drag the soldering iron across the leads.  It's based on the obvious principle that solder will not stick to the PCB.  I think Tangent even has a vid that talks about that somewhere.

With food poisoning it's another matter altogether. Had to get it pumped and stayed from Friday to Saturday. Came back home today. And that's the jest of it all.

I don't think I will ever eat it again.

While I do likes me some cole slaw, I think that'd probably be a smart move for you.  Matter of fact, I think that avoiding anything with raw eggs in it would be a good idea for you.

+1  Let's not be too hasty lee... it can be quite good when prepared properly.  Throw in some horseradish and freshly ground pepper and it becomes something just short of greatness.

Coleslaw is amazing, you just have to eat it all the first time, no leftovers.

Hello guys, it's been a while. I was out in Japan for one month, and couldn't listen to any music through a hi-fi system during that time. Yesterday I finally got back home, plugged my Fostex TH900 into my Zana Deux SE, and WOW!! Music had never sounded so good, I've never felt such eargasm since my one-time experience with the Orpheus system. Figuratively speaking, I was audio-hungry for one month, and you know what they say: hunger is the best sauce. I can listen for hours without being fatigued, I'm so glad to be back!

Just wanted to share one of my happiest experiences as a Head-Fi'er. darthsmile.gif

I just went ahead and ordered a Crack kit with Speedball, maybe it won't be too bad. I can solder, when my hands let me, so I'll let you know how tough it is.
