So he went to a church dinner and stuffed himself with coleslaw to the point he needed to get his stomach pumped? That sounds like something from a bad comedy movie.

Is the new Dr Who anywhere near as good as the classics? The last time I tried giving the new Dr Who a watch I nearly threw my TV out the window. Please tell me the new Dr has some actual good writing behind it again.

I just can't stand the cheapo SyFy/BBC special effects or visuals for too long... and the writing still sucks (in my opinion)!

Game of Thrones == Holy Sh,... everytime... great cinematography, direction, acting, effects, music, etc. etc.

Just watched The Walking Dead season finale! Another great episode! I need AMC in HD!!!!

So he ate some bad coleslaw and wound up in the hospital? An this has happened to him/her for the third time? That still sounds like something that would happen in a bad comedy movie. I hope he's feeling well and is back on thread soon. I rather miss the dude/dudette.

Nope. Went to Church's Chicken to redeem a $50 Family Feast coupon, got some bad coleslaw. Was the only one who ate it. Woke up purple-ish and moaning so went to the hospital. Food poisoning. I have a rather bad digestive track (people who know me will know that I keep a nasty-smelling bottle of pills for digestion) so this occurs a lot even with just foods that simply don't agree with me. With food poisoning it's another matter altogether. Had to get it pumped and stayed from Friday to Saturday. Came back home today. And that's the jest of it all.

I was thinking of filing a complaint but decided it wasn't worth the time (otherwise 40% of all restaurants I end up eating at would get complaints). It was the second time that this happened at Church's, but the first time they just got the order wrong and made it spicy, didn't realize until I came back, didn't think much of it and kept eating, then experienced the 4th most gruesome bout of diarrhea I have ever had. So not really their fault. I still won't eat there anymore despite the frequent coupons but can't really put too much blame on them. Just really bad luck on my part.

Also a mistake on Violin's part. The 5th time I've gotten my stomach pumped, and the 2nd time from eating at this particular branch of Church's.

If it happens regularly enough for you to have a ranking system, and this was IN the ranks.......

Yea, no cole slaw for me. I remember one time my mom made some and I was like "hey, lets put this in the fridge". Well my job at the time had a freezer that looked just like a fridge. So I took it out and it was frozen. Well I still wanted it, so I let it defrost.......

.............never again.

Tube in the mouth all the way through to the stomach. Then pump/suck/what have you. I'm not keen on the details as they kept me out cold with some shot.

In China it's a bit more crude (as in, I remember the doctors being quite rough about it), not to mention they kick you out the night after.

YOU call me Twinky. Everyone else calls me wifey or crackers or twinsta or twinkies or sloot.

Okay maybe Twinky would be better than any of those.

It happens like once or twice a month. Not ER-worthy most of the time.
