Yeah but they seem to like them none the less. I guess the final vote has been cast. If the freaky undead kids like your gear you know you found a keeper.

Ahh, but you have veto power.  Speaking of which, what's the verdict.  Are you going to keep them, or go for a refit?

lol the mood turned sour in the Heir thread :P. Sorry couldn't help myself lol. It's clearly bs to paint them as saints. Always better to be honest I feel although we all do have the right to our own opinion.

The left ear fits like a glove the right ear fits well too but it can get a little loose and I'll lose partial seal if I open my mouth wide enough a dozen or so times. I've gotten pretty good over the last couple of days inserting them and I now can get them into place and attain a seal in under 10 seconds. The last couple of days when I've tried walking around with them I've found I can for the most part keep seal which is a relief to me considering that's a big deal for me. I haven't come to a 100% decision but I'm leaning towards calling these a success fit wise and forgetting about a refit.

Sound wise I really like them too. I just wish they had a little wider sound stage and a little more depth. They're not really a in your head kind of experience but they do make you feel like you're in a medium sized hall instead of a large arena.

No worries, when I saw that one post on that thread I knew what would be coming. That's why I had the cutesy pic of my 4A's all ready to go to keep the hounds attention elsewhere while you threw out the jab.

Hmm, I think I'll stay away from that thread.  I just had a two-day ordeal trying explain to someone that an A/B between two cans does NOT yield objective data.  Don't need more thread drama atm.  smile.gif

An my CLAS just went kaput and needs to be charged. I'm now driving my 4A's with my laptop soundcard. Initial impressions, the sound just became more mid centric and the highs have now taken a more metallic tinge to them. Although the overall sound is more cold compared to Raven and Eva there seems to be a lack of air in the music and I'm noticing less instrument separation leading me to belive........

man I need to get a life and stop throwing up impressions on everything I hear

Life is overrated.  The next time you're our buying toilet paper, or pumping gas, or waiting on an ATM... think about how much more fun it would be to post impressions.

lol thanks. Well I did actually edit it and toned it down but I still got the message across. It's funny how others only react when bad **** happens to them but if it happens to others it doesn't exist. Such asses. ;)...

Yeah so true, say by the way how did your 8A's sound with your Triad? Overall my 4A's seem to really like my Leckerton amp the most. Did you find the 8A was picky with source like some people have reported?

Yep the 8As are definitely picky on what they'll shine on. Personally for music I don't find them too pair to well with my Triad setup. But for games and movies most definitely. Then again the DAC could play some roll in that as well. In terms of musical enjoyment the N1 hits the sweet spot in particular. Just I wanted more headroom so I can listen to the N1 at lower volumes. Not so sure if the update really fixed that or not. I'll have to wait until I get the 8As back to know...

Hmph, I wonder if Heirs Rendition 1 amp is really everything they claim it to be. I would guess they took the time to find a decent pairing for their flagship or at least I would hope they did.

So you are finding your 4As to not be doing it for you on your current amps? What are you looking for in another amp?
