Re: Dreams:  Oh yeah, I never typed out that one I mentioned a few days ago with the UE6000.  Basically I put it on and it started shooting me up with Crysis nano machines which made me feel heavy but graceful at the same time (however that works) and then I could see the apocalypse going on outside.  Like a portal made of light opened up in the sky, the sky itself turned red, and horsemen started coming out of the portal except there were dozens instead of just the four.  Some guy I couldn't recognize appeared in the room with me, watching all the commotion through the window and then I could feel the nano machines replacing my cartilage with something else.  I was fairly sure this something else would be better, but I felt like I was going to fall apart as I underwent the transition.  I kept using Maximum Armor thinking it would pop my joints back in place, but it didn't.  Then I was holding my grandmother who had blood worms for eyes.  She had always been like that but never felt comfortable with it until now.

God your dream reads like a Chaos-infested world from Warhammer 40k. Love it to bits.

Get well soon Mupps and Driver8.
Driver8, you should look into a career as a writer in horror/science fiction

Repetition.

Between being at work, bustin my behind off, and being at home half asleep, I've been having my most sick-ridden weeks in a long time. Last week I had a bad cold, which transpired into a sore throat and quite the fever this week, so it's been a ride. As you can imagine, I haven't exactly been at my best for even trying to sense anything particular about "repetition". So, I'll try to make it short and simple:

Repeptition for me feels very close to the 80's and 90's kind of german synth music that I like so much. My submission will not be one of those classics though, and it ain't german, nor is it from the 80's or 90's. It's going to be from Sweden, it's going to be from the 2000's and it's going to be one of the most promising EBM acts out there, Sturm Café:

I used to know these guys pretty well before. One of them, the singer, is probably one of the nicest guys you'll meet. The times I've met him he's been always been the quiet one, almost quiet as in Silent Bob type of quiet. His facial expressions did the talking for him. He went to Poland in pursuit of a MD degree. The other one, the music creator, is probably the most talkative guys you'll ever meet and a huge movie fan. I used to go with my girlfriend to her school before hitting off to my graphical art lectures about 10 years ago, and whenever I met these guys we had a cup of coffee and the music creator one always started talking about old rather obscure german and italian movies with me - none of which I had actually seen, but since he was so into them I just sat there and nodded nicely and talked to him, despite not knowing whatever the heck he was on about. Elsa Shewolf of SS and such movies.

Anyway, EBM to me, is probably the one and only music flavour that succeeds to make repetitiveness into non-repetition, yet keeping the repetitiveness left in the music. It's a sort ambivalent situation where you wonder whether it actually is repetitive or not.

Something that is way clearer explained by this song than my words:

I love the Sennheisher HH10 headphone holders. Cheap, practical and don't take up additional room on a desk.

I was just wondering if it would make a difference for some of the super low impedance IEMs I have. ie: Xba-40. Also just traded my XBA-4 for a FAD Heaven C (going a bit fucll circle now). Both of those IEMs have impedance curves that dip to around 5ohms.

Oh no...

Likewise, I hope the pain passes quickly.  Hey everyone, how about we make a MuppetDriver Pain Management Playlist for them?  We'll fill it with the most soothing, relaxing, kidney-stone-passing, back-loosening happy music known to [wo]man.  What say you all?

Speaking of playlists, does everyone have their entries in?

Me too, as that turned out to be my kind of meet! I was only derailed by the timing of the event. Really wanted to receive my buddy and former neighbor shipsupt from London, meet you, Cee-Tee, Purrin, Anaxulus (sorry, I just know I butchered his name blink.gif) and other usual suspects... The CS crew!

What's more, MuppetFace just discovered my thread for MOT 2359glenn. Wanna see something really very_evil_smiley.gif wicked?! Wait till she sits down with him (virtually speaking) and he builds her a custom amp to her specs!

It was actually pretty fun!  Them fellas know how to put on a meet.  Don't know if you've seen them yet, but HiFiGuy put up a slew of vids taken at the event:  https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=HiFiGuy528+Head-Fi+Meet&oq=HiFiGuy528+Head-Fi+Meet

And I assure you, you have not screwed up Anax's name any worse than he has.  I believe it's Analixus now.

I think it'll be fun to see Mupps sit down with Glenn.  She'll start off with a 5-minute manifesto about low noise floor, and then fall silent as she's not sure what she wants beyond that just yet.  biggrin.gif  ::kidding Mupps::

Love the Amazon.com.jp Box & dedicated playlist!

With a low noise floor being high on our list over there, that'll be a fast 5 second nod biggrin.gif"Okay, what else...?"  I've only seen HiFiGuy's 3 to 4 vidz posted the first day. You mean there's more? Great and thanks for the link, will return for more.

Youch! I've had those, that's no picnic. Sorry to hear about that. eek.gif Other than the pain, the worst part is taking a half hour to wee.

@warren as long as there's no more This Heat rec from YT, I'm pretty much fine. For now.

CdC, it sounds like your friend was talking about the Ilsa movies. They were a real trip back in the 70's. Couldn't make movies like that nowadays...

From the pictures that headphone stand looks pretty promising. I take it the wood is good quality with good workmanship and the headphone stand feels pretty sturdy?

The honest truth, you guys think I have to much mobile gear lol?

@lee

I don't know about the 8A but my 4A is probably the loudest for hiss when paired with the Studio V.

Any mobile gear is too much. I use UERM + HTC DNA. Phones and phone, basic as it gets, still very good sound.
