The diary entries of a little girl in her 30s! ~ Part 2 - Page 541

Speaking of headphone stands, I ordered this (http://www.buychina.com/items/o-profit-special-durable-support-the-city-by-delivering-it-personally-to-meet-u-head-design-headset-frame-ryrqmmrsiqj) on the 6th of this month, and it's on the truck to be delivered today.

I'll let you know how it goes, and take a few pics. I know you're looking for more stands.

So now that I've calm down after the tactical nuclear bomb-news that Google is killing Google Reader come July 1st, I've been scouring the 'net for alternatives, and what I found is that some people seem to miss Reader's most important feature: synchronizing my feed across (almost) all platforms, apps, OS, etc. Simply saying its "travelibility".

I can access something from my laptop, saved it for later and continue to read it on my Symbian smartphone while on the subway and then continue on reading it on my Nexus 7 on my bed later at night.

GODDAMMIT GOOGLE!

I strained my back yesterday and am still practically bed ridden ;_; .  I'm hoping my mom will be able to get some vicodin for me, but no guarantee.

I beat Crysis 3 yesterday and, while the game was pretty mediocre overall, I found the ending satisfying.  The series has a lot of things that I happen to like in any work, though, so take that as you will.  Also started HotS last night.  Seems okay so far.  I mean, there's a certain visceral pleasure to making a lot of Zerg and ******* things up.  Can't say I'm crazy about the story so far; seems to be written about as well as WoL, which is to say borderline retarded, but w/e.  The mission pacing is better than WoL so far.  It seems like they genuinely assume you've beaten WoL if you select normal.

Headphone news: I got a BPT Ultra power conditioner thing yesterday.  Not sure what I think of it yet.  I haven't heard any noise so far, though!

Just finished HotS campaign. What I love about it is that it's way more fun playing all the different strains of zerg units than all the different variant of Terran units. One thing that I learned is that zerg is probably isn't for me, mechanically wise, since there's just so much thing to keep track of if i want to be as efficient as possible. (spawn more creep tumor here, get back to hatchery/lair/hive to spawn more units, get more hatcheries up for faster unit production, spawn more creep tumor here, etc.) but it's fun as all hell. Agreed on the mission pacing as well. I guess with WoL they wanted to make an "open-world" style campaign, but with this there's a coherent, logical (linear, but without the terrible connotation it recently have IMO) missions; granted there's still one or two missions where you can choose, but nothing like what's in WoL.

The story is.... it's SC2, that's all I can say. Lore not based on the crappy campy storyline is hellishly awesome though.

This week I've been dealing with bladder pain. Turns out I've got kidney stones. It really hurts. A lot.

They're just going to have to pass on their own. Meanwhile I'm half asleep on pain meds.

Damn, that sucks.

We're discussing kidney pathology right now in class, and it was mentioned that passing kidney stones are about as close as it gets to the pain of child birth. Better ask driver8 for some of that vicodin!

Be careful with vicodin, it can give you some seriously messed-up dreams.

I have another Winchester on the way, an old Model 54 in the oddball caliber of .22 K-Hornet. I'll have to custom load all the ammo for it, but the Hornet is one of the all-time classic rifle cartridges. Fitting for an 80-year-old gun. I would love to get it's successor, the Model 70, but those are waaaay out of my price range.

Man, I wish you and Silent could have been at Changfest.  We probably would have gotten to hear his rig, and you would have been able to meet the CS crew.  You know they had personalized shirts for the meet?

Me too, as that turned out to be my kind of meet! I was only derailed by the timing of the event. Really wanted to receive my buddy and former neighbor shipsupt from London, meet you, Cee-Tee, Purrin, Anaxulus (sorry, I just know I butchered his name blink.gif) and other usual suspects... The CS crew!

What's more, MuppetFace just discovered my thread for MOT 2359glenn. Wanna see something really very_evil_smiley.gif wicked?! Wait till she sits down with him (virtually speaking) and he builds her a custom amp to her specs!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!  Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any vicodin :/

Re: Dreams:  Oh yeah, I never typed out that one I mentioned a few days ago with the UE6000.  Basically I put it on and it started shooting me up with Crysis nano machines which made me feel heavy but graceful at the same time (however that works) and then I could see the apocalypse going on outside.  Like a portal made of light opened up in the sky, the sky itself turned red, and horsemen started coming out of the portal except there were dozens instead of just the four.  Some guy I couldn't recognize appeared in the room with me, watching all the commotion through the window and then I could feel the nano machines replacing my cartilage with something else.  I was fairly sure this something else would be better, but I felt like I was going to fall apart as I underwent the transition.  I kept using Maximum Armor thinking it would pop my joints back in place, but it didn't.  Then I was holding my grandmother who had blood worms for eyes.  She had always been like that but never felt comfortable with it until now.

Check your email spam folder. It's surprisingly easy to get cheap Canadian drugs nowadays.
