I paid 96 bones in fees and duties to get these little babies. I think I just messed up trying to insert them though. It's going on an hour since I got home from work and they've kept seal so far are still comfortable to wear and the music is sounding pretty good. I'm going to take them to work again tomorrow and try being a little more careful in inserting them from now on.

No DigitalFreak Heir will not cover shipping back to you. In my particular situation I honestly feel they should cover the shipping as it was their mess up and not mine. But for general refits that is a different story. You should not have to worry about paying duties again on the item. That should not be an issue.

Yeah well after spending 700 bones I just want a product that works for me so I'm not going to mess around and just say it outright. Now that I seem to be getting a proper seal I'm curious to see what isolation will be like when I'm running around on the sidewalk with traffic zooming by beside me or through the mall with people talking loudly around me.

You are brave lol. I'd be too timid to use my 8As while out in public. I see it as too dangerous. Have you heard of those freak accidents with people using their IEMs and getting killed/nearly killed due to the isolation and not being aware of their surroundings? I'd say only use them in areas where you know you are gonna be safe. It's hard to trust anyone in this day and age and that is especially on the road or near a road. As far as you know some crazy b%%%% could jump the curb while you are walking down the street and you may not hear it in time....

Thankfully the 8As weren't the same way in regards to fit. But the experience with them in terms of customer support/satisfaction was just as bad :(....

Sheer lunacy!  Starting to think that I should skip customs altogether.  Are they really worth all that?

Well, I'm sure we'll all remember and heap a bunch of good wishes your way.

At this point, you're probably wondering "how the eff does that psycho stalker know when my birthday is???"

If I do go custom at some point, I wonder if people will think I'm a dick for not answering them when they're talking to me.

It is worth it if you deal with a company that will respect you as a customer and not treat you like some peasant :).

About 10 years ago I saw something similar to that happen only the person standing on the sidewalk wasn't as lucky as the guy in the video. I was standing on the other side of the street when it happened. A pretty chilling experience to say the least.

Take it from someone whose been in such situations himself and luckily walked away lol. The experiences I've gone through have more than likely left me with some PTS and it sucks. I'm generally very nervous around people especially when that deals with vehicles. The only reason why I walked away from those incidents is due to my reflexes & being aware of what was happening (maybe add some luck lol). But even then you can't always predict what will happen or even manage to get out of the situation safely. Thus I highly recommend not using them in such dangerous areas....

Well I hope your right concerning duties and if I have to pay shipping both ways that's a pretty crap situation.

I agree. This is a first for me hearing this as well. I've never had to pay the return shipping for any other product having to go back for RMA.

Sometimes in the bus, I feel a repetitive nudge on my shoulder. It is an angry old Chinese lady who has been asking me for 10 mn to move so she can get off the bus. Apart from that, customs are awesome in terms of fit, and also the surface of contact with the ear makes the music more palpable IMO.
