I should post some shots of my Cavalli shrine soon.

His commercial creations have always had an appealing visual simplicity to them. I'm partial to his older approach with the yin-yang ventilation holes and colorful volume knobs, but his newer direction is really something else. Your word choice of "understated elegancy" is perfect.

It's the feel of them in use that really gets me.

Guess I'm a fangirl.

I just watched Mea Maxima Culpa last week, so my views on Catholicism are a little dark right now.

Went to The Wonder Years concert last night! Dunno if anyone else in here is into punk rock. It was a good time, live concerts are always fun, High schoolers slash crazy people ripped on some crazy drug always make the experience less enjoyable though. Especially people who try to mosh to punk rock........

Pope Francis.... first non-European! Interesting name choice, as St. Francis was known for reform.

Well, by "Catholicism" there's the faith itself and then there's the administrative body of the church. I think the two can be a little hard to delineate at times, but when it comes to the exploitation of human beings it's more a matter of individuals using the faith as justification for something that would happen regardless, something that stems not from "Catholicism" but from the darker parts of human nature. Where I think the church is to blame is in terms of its administration, how it responds to and the stance it takes against these atrocities. A profound respect for the dignity of human life should be at the core of its mission and inform all it does, and simply sweeping this stuff under the rug is contrary to that notion.

Catholicism is an integral part of many peoples' lives, so I think it's important to look to how reforms could possibly come from within in this case. I think a lot of people sit back and fume in indignation, which isn't really helpful.

Yeah, I was referring to the Vatican itself when I made those comments. It's just infuriating to see leaders of a faith that deals in love, protect themselves instead of those in need. The same applies to many of their other doctrines, including those discouraging the use of condoms, even in AIDS-prone areas.

Still, I hope Francis lives up to his name

Well, I'm an agnostic, but I wish the new Pope luck in his new post.

The Galaxy S IV, I'm expecting awesomeness.

Same here.  If they don't get their act together with the USB audio out, Ima have a conniption.

Windows Phone 8 was a huge let down for me. The handsets are nice, the price is great, but not one of them has USB audio. Grrrr. Especially when the Note 2 has it natively supported.

I dunno DF... less than 2.5 hours later, she's looking at threads for a different amp.  confused.gif  It could be telling, it could be nothing.  But in the best of all possible worlds, she's enjoying the heck out of it.  Until I hear otherwise, that's what I'll be wishing for her.  smile.gif

And BTW... do they fit?  How do they sound?  What's the deal here, why the suspense?

Yeah, I hear ya.  I almost considered getting a Windows phone so that I could continue to use my Zune Music Pass as a music discovery tool.  But not-having USB audio out was the deal-breaker for me as well.  mad.gif

I thought the Android thread had come up with an app that was basically letting all newer droids give audio out.

I know I bought my GS3 for the OTG USB audio out.
