Yep...

That's it.  Following in the footsteps of the brick phone, flip phone, and soap bar phone there is...

The Taco Phone!

I think I still must have a Nokia 7600 somewhere, which came out in 2003 and was their first 3G enabled phone in Europe:

I actually kinda like that one.

It solves the problem of fitting all the buttons you need plus a decent size screen on to something palm sized in a rather clever way...

Edit: Speaking of which, as a diabetic, it's interesting to hear that sanofi-aventis' iBGStar (an external blood glucose monitor and application) just finally came out for iPhone.

As it stands the device is useless to me, but if Insulet Corp worked with them to integrate all of the Omnipod's control into an iDevice, I would be all over that. For now, I'm stuck with this old looking PDA...

Even though I slept for 10 hours last night, I'm already feeling sleepy right now despite it only being 22:30.

Suddenly getting up at 7 AM each day after more than 3 months of summer vacation is tougher than I expected. Especially because my daytime activities can be quite tiring too (beer, biking and studying).

My 15 year old daughter is Type I, diagnosed at 22 months. How do you like the Omnipod? My daughter has been using an Animas pump for several years. She also occasionally wears a Dexcom Sensor & monitor, but usually only when her Endo wants to collect some data for analysis. She has had a habit of losing the Dexcom monitors (I think we've had to buy 3 or 4 of them and they ain't cheap!)

It drives me crazy that there still isn't a closed-loop sensor/monitor/pump on the market!

Good beer is lost on me - I have no taste buds for beer. When I do drink beer, it is usually just any cheap pale ale. I'm just as happy with Miller Lite... (Sorry!)

I have the same thing.

Though I have a slight preference for Grolsch and Hertog Jan over other pilseners such as Amstel, Heineken (LOL), or Jupiler.

Nothing wrong with that, I'm a Canadian but my beer of choice when out or just BBQing is Miller Lite

One of my favorite local breweries has a basil and pepper IPA on the menu right now. It's really interesting; spicy like a strong Belgian wit but still tasting like an IPA. And yes it smells like basil. Should have picked up some a couple weeks ago but I got a growler of their seasonal rye instead. {/beer-nerd}
