Hm, I think the 7550 is most likely the best one, but this is all talking from my Teclasts.  If I could compare all four (four including the EX700) at home, then that would be another story, but I believe Romy has already half-written that story so I don't care.  The EX700 is still the best one to me.  When I listen to it from my favorite desktop DAC and amp setup, it's incredulous.

I still think the MDR-EX500 have the best value of all the series, they are phenomenal for $100.

The EX300 and EX500 are cool too.  I've never heard the EX310 or EX510, I'd love to hear the EX310 actually, since it has a very unusual IR.

Maybe someone already posted it a few days back...

Regardless, I'm wondering how good the grado headband is, since using my MS1i converted into the MS1000, it's been a blast except for two things: the salad bowl pads and the headband are kind of uncomfortable. Thinking of buying a couple from them if he is willing to send them to Mother Russia.
where do you order the stuff? and how much do the beyer pads cost?

well the last pm i got from him was around 2 am moscow time, around 5 pm at ontario? Anyway thr only way is to pm him, but he's going on a holiday it seems. I was struck by this and all warning bells ringing, i didn't order lol. Either that was the right decision or it's the sleepiness did thr decision.

I finally got a haircut after ages going without one, and ohmaigawd is it easier to wear headphones now. I actually have to make headband adjustments because the volume of hair on top of my head changed significantly.

I'm always feel dubious and doubtful whenever someone plays the 'everyone hears differently' card regarding audio impressions, esp on the more hot topics e.g. cables, DACs, etc. I mean surely that would also mean i hear a guitar or trumpet this particular way unique to myself only and the next guy besides me hears it uniquely different as well?

Idk im sure people here have gone down this roasd several times and argued and discussed this to death. Just wanting to voice my confusion.

On my N7 btw, so forgive the terse post.

Hey, I had a listen.

Some really nice stuff... in fact it's the kind of stuff that I think would work really well as film / video score kind of music. It reminds me slightly of Phillip Glass. I particularly liked the ambient sounds in the interlude [moon] track.

Maybe you could suggest putting it on a Creative Commons license to her? There are any number of short films or indie video works that could use this kind of music, and in exchange she'll get exposure.

On fridays, yes! There's nothing that sounds better than a song about fridays on fridays, and I quite like fridays - especially on fridays.

A great passage in a book I read, though it concerns mainly postmodern relativism and the end of the meta narrative, it applies easily enough here:

"And what does not follow is the opposite extreme. If you reject the singular grand narrative, it does not follow that we should embrace an infinity of contradictory narratives. The philosopher Bernard Williams nailed this fallacy beautifully when he wrote, ‘As Clemenceau famously said at Versailles to a German who had wondered what future historians would say about all this, “They won’t say that Belgium invaded Germany.”

Who is that in your avatar btw, Combat?
