I think so.  A large part of using any sufficiently comprehensive application is just getting comfortable with some of the more mundane aspects of it.

Any thoughts on December?  If there's one thing I learned from November, its that we need to plan/prepare ahead.  biggrin.gif

I'm finding the best mastered modern music, in terms of dynamic range, is actually EDM. Modern releases (even the "mastered for itunes stuff") just sounds so compressed in comparison.

I'd have to concur with that.  I've noticed that a lot of my test tracks from the modern era are EDM (or a related genre) - by a disproportionate amount.

BTW, has anyone noticed that Mupps has been kinda quite for almost three days now?  You okay Mupps?  Too much Halloween candy?

For instance, I got Green Day's new album. The content is great, but I just can't listen to it because of the poor mastering.

First world/audophile problems.

The interesting thing that I noticed was that it stemmed from me being homesick.
Hmm.

It's the beginning of the Russian winter which is exactly like the Canadian winter the grey and gloom will get to the strongest of people. Do yourself a favor and call home and have a few laughs with your family and friends over the phone. It'll do wonders for you.

It's going great.........

Congrats man, may it always be so

Pardon the silly question but I've only been skimming the thread quickly due to a crazy last few weeks. What new customs did you get and are your 4A's officially retired because of this new gear?

Hi guys. I'm fine. : )

Just been a little busy with research. As I mentioned before, I'll be giving a series of lectures in December on Hegel in the 20th century, and I'm doing some pretty in depth readings of Catherine Malabou, Rebecca Comay, and Alexandre Kojeve.

Most of my head-fi time has been spent on that other forum. I'm an admin there, so it takes priority for the time being.

So, I'm really looking forward to BioShock Infinite. Here are cool videos about some of the enemies:

Along with Dead Space 3, this is my most anticipated game of next year thus far...

Did I mention how much I'm looking forward to this game? Yes? Well...

Glad you're enjoying your new toy! (BTW, I thought that comment you made on the ramen stand in Anchorage was quite a amusing piece of trivia.)

Looks interesting. BTW, have you (or anyone else) given a try at Dishonored? It looks quite interesting, almost like a cross between Deus Ex and Bioshock; it got really good reviews all across the blogosphere as well.

It is stupid good. If I wasn't so hopelessly addicted to League of Legends, I would be playing it right now. Dishonored's graphics weren't what I was originally thinking of, but a game is about the gameplay, not the shinies. It wins gameplay in spades.

Speaking of which, do we have any other summoners in here?
