I learned about Mirai from Bloomberg TV.

Technically, she's Malaysian, right?

Hmm, I thought she's Singaporean. I didn't really brush up on my SEA syllabus otaku knowledge though, only just enough to pass. :P

Honestly, dolls, especially those that are mimicking human form as authentic as possible, is creeping me out. It's the classic uncanny valley though. And Mirai Musume is right in that valley. I (mostly) have no problem with CGI though.

And I'm still obscenely angry at my mistiming to be more invested (whatever that means) since Danny Choo had released a Mirai-themed transport pass card here, and I missed it by a year. *flips table*

WOWZA! I got some catching up to do... I hadn't read Danny Choo for some time. Thanks for jarring my memory.

haha.. no idea. I was just play off the fact that Danny is Malaysian, well, sort of. The concept as a whole is a bit creepy, but the video was amusing. I really only know of Danny Choo for his Stormtrooper stuff, and don't really follow him otherwise. BTW, I had no idea he was Jimmy Choo's son; never put two and two together.

I met Devo about 7 years ago at a backstage Meet & Greet and photo op when they played at Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco. A picture of the guys and me is hanging on the wall of my office. One of my better memories. I'm sure to Mark & Bob Mothersbaugh, we were just another group of clueless middle-aged corporate geeks - and yeah, I guess we really were... redface.gif

I bet it's a great pix!  I'll likely see it when:

- I walk through for an interview

- While waiting to pick you up for a bite to eat; consultation

Thanks kindly. I had been soul searching the past few months on the next professional chapter in my life. Took a break from a hectic Tuesday afternoon last week to walk in the wet sand watching the tide and voila! That's when it hit me...upside my :rolleyes:big head. I finally figured out my next pursuit. You just happen to be in the right position for advising.
