Are you sure it hasn't just made a new Google+ page for your Youtube channel name? The move was compulsory, you only got the choice between associating your existing Youtube account with a) a Google+ profile (which uses your real name and each person has one per email) or b) a Google+ page which uses your Youtube channel name and which is attached to a Google+ profile.

I chose the latter, which I kind of regret now because it's just confusing and means I don't get the Google author rank info attached to my account.

^ Man, why does this exist, and what right does it have tasting so decent?  As per my posting schtick lately, I tested one of those against the original flavor, long known for being some ******* swill -- someone asked me what Steel Reserve was in a text earlier and I asked if she had ever played Papo & Yo.  She hadn't, but if she had I would have just said "each can of Steel Reserve is one of those frogs..."*  Don't let the alcohol content fool you; ****'s like gravity (hence the name "high gravity lager") -- powerful, but poorly understood.

Has anyone in this thread played Metal Gear: Revengeance?  I bought it on Steam lately against my better judgement and I seriously don't get it on a fundamental level.  I feel like Lisa in that one tap dancing episode of the Simpsons -- the game gives me no real idea how to counter, but assumes the timings are intuitive.  I swear to god I'm usually good at games like this.  I've never had such problems with GOD HAND, Devil May Cry, or Ninja Gaiden...

The writing's pretty bad too.  Not sure what to think of the music.  I guess it's kind of funny.  Either way I wish Konami had had more say in this than Platinum.  I don't think Platinum has been that worthwhile since they were Clover.  If I had to guess as to why that would be, I'd say someone at Capcom's core team was probably ensuring some level of quality be kept intact, like how Silicon Knights only made good games while under strict watch of Nintendo.

* I was at a friend's house one time when he drank a 40 of Steel Reserve.  He just sort of zoned out for awhile and then smashed the bottle on the floor.  His girlfriend was all "***, WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING!?"  and he just said, "...I don't know" and stumbled off to bed.  It's kind of like that.

I had a dream last night wherein I was some sort of tour manager for Tim and Eric.  I kept sticking them in orchestral halls even though the deer skull headed people I vaguely remember from Time Bandits told me not to.  Later on Tim asked to speak with me in my favorite childhood playground and asked if I knew why their audience was never happy.  I gave him an apple with an earthworm in it and he started tripping as though he were on shrooms.  I think I woke up after that.

Iuno, actually having trouble remembering this one.  I guess that's sort of fortunate since I don't have it in me to make a longer post atm.

No, I wasn't sure and I checked it up now, and you're right. It/they created a Google+ account for my youtube account.

Lol now i have to check mine too. But short from picking a side between linking my g+ account and making a new g+ tumor, i reloaded the page. Always. How do ypu check if i have that tumpr? Amd as far as I know, I'd lose everything associated with my current youtube account (which I regretted linking to my google account back when google just acquired yputube), subs faves and playlists and all, if I've made this subG+ account.

Oh and did anybody heard about google acquiring Nest, that smart thermostat/smoke detector thing for 3.2 billion USD?

On Youtube.com, just hit your profile pic in the top right corner. It will expand out into two columns. Column on the left is Youtube controls, column on the right is related to your Google+ / Google account settings. If it says 'page' you made a Google+ page for your Youtube account. If it says 'profile' it probably just means you linked to a Google+ profile.

Keep in mind that if you made a page that doesn't mean you don't have an additional Google+ profile. All Google+ pages have Google+ profiles as owners and the owner of the page is your Google+ profile associated with whatever Google account email you are using by default. If you hit "switch accounts" it should also tell you whether you are using Youtube as a Google+ page or a Google+ profile.

This has created the confusing situation for me where I have 3 personal Google+ profiles (from 3 different Google emails) and then 2 different Google+ pages. I've taken to using multiple browsers and multiple browser profiles to manage it. Interestingly unlike Facebook Google doesn't explicitly ban users from having multiple Google+ profiles, but they discourage it.

This is more or less how Facebook pages works actually, except that its a lot less confusing on Facebook which requires you to first make a Facebook profile to administer a page, instead of how Google attempted to change everything midstream for everyone.

In short I'm pretty darn sure that Google has made a Google+ profile for you whether you know it or not... it's possible to delete the Google+ page from your Google account settings but I shudder to think how many things will simply stop working if you do that.

Hmm still looks Youtubey to me

I don't even know if Nest would work here in Sweden. I haven't heard of anyone buying one. Not sure I know its full capabilities either. All I know is the remote controlling of it, but since we live in a appartment and heat being included in our rent, it's a pretty cool but rather useless feature for us. There may be something else that is cool about it though, I don't know. It does look good though!

Would your youtube G+ fall under "Pages" tab on your G+?
Yeah Google just linked my main G+ with my youtube without ******* up my subs. Checked by looking at a video's comment section, and I see my G+ profile pic. **** you Google. Actually maybe it's just a ruse to people resign to their fate. I can't comment or thumbs up comments though as long as I say no, even though Google did it anyways.

I'm not sure what anything anyone says actually means.

No doubt about that. That's exactly how the Borg started out. On that note though, whoever is playing/played Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, there's a Star Trek Armada 3 mod for it complete with OP Borg that attacks on the move and can take on 4- 5 fleets of ships singlehandedly.
