So I just tried one of those Google hangout things last night. It turned out pretty well despite various technical difficulties and learnings - ended up sitting there for well over an hour talking to 20 people.

I don't want to sound like a shill for Google or anything but I'm actually pretty excited about the potential for using this hangout stuff for conversations in the community. I just wish I was more articulate on the spot, I ended up kind of rambling on about all kinds of things in the effort to fill dead air haha.

The greatest amp ever made.

It fits in your pocket and can be yours for a mere $70,000 USD.

I always wonder about eBay listings with these kinds of insane prices. Is it some newfangled form of marketing?

That guy again? I'm surprised ebay hasn't permabanned him.

He's been at it for a few years. This thread from 2010 discusses one he was selling for a mere US$2,000. The Ebay listing is long gone but you can see from the comments that he was openly admitting to selling a metal box with random electronic bits in it that were not connected to any wires.

My guess is it's a money laundering scheme of some kind.

Oddly he has perfect feedback. He seems to sell things like cassettes for stupid but not blazingly stupid prices, as well as "schematics" for his "designs." Mmhmm.

Perhaps it's some kind of commentary slash performance art? Or really just some guy who is bored and trolling, which is kind of the same thing only cruder?

Reminds me of Coconut Audio. Only Patrick was more obvious and funny.

I saw the Hangout in my sub feed, but I was busy at the time to even just take a peek at it. :/

Well Google is nice and all, but a lot of people has genuine cause for concern with what they do recently. Hard to for me to list them here though, but when pressed real hard, I could make the effort. And by "pressed real hard" I mean harassed. But I'll say this though: people are awfully pissed off with the G+ hullabaloo on Youtube.

Interesting. I don't know how good Winamp was before the AOL acquisition but from what I remember using it before I finally sit down to set up foobar, it's okay for no-fuss straight forward iTunes-but-not set up, but every occasional update that I did made it slower and slower. Looking forward how Radionomy will proceed with this.
