So... I'm not trying to give you reasons for liking or giving the movie a chance, but just saying that if you don't critically watch it, you might just enjoy it. :-p
To get that uncritical (or just not notice) it will take many, many beers. biggrin.gif

Thanks for trying to resurrect that turkey, though.

Love that show so much. One of the more awesome western cartoons to came out recently that I really like. Up there in my heart with Avatar the Last Airbender, Dexter's Lab, and Smaurai Jack (all of them hardly fits at all LOL).
But really, I do such songs. Most of them are Japanese (from anime obviously). Some of them I sitll haven't had the chance to know what the lyrics are yet. But somehow they seem to connect with me like that one last Lego piece that always seems to go missing when you need it.
P.S. the video isn't working.
Also, now that one of the more improbable thing happened (the ATH AD series refreshed) can Koss now suddenly announce a successor to the KDE250 so that I can throw money at you guys?

Note that the episode that has this song is currently free on iTunes due to Cartoon Networks anniversary.

Completely forgot about The Boredoms.  I had Chocolate Synthesizer on my ipod back in my ****ty headphone days and then... ?  I think I forgot to back it up later on when I upgraded to Win 7 and had to reformat the ipod not long after for other reasons.  I remember liking that album a lot!

Thanks for the reminder, MF!

Today I finally got around to watching Hunger Games. Not a bad movie and I found it was quite entertaining but I failed to see why people were raving about it so much. Truth be known it reminded me a lot of the old Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Running Man. By the way, I also saw Prometheus last night and I thought it was OK. Far from great but also far from terrible. I didn't like how they changed the face huggers and the different look they went with on the Alien. Considering I'm a huge Alien franchise fan you don't change the appearance of the alien nor the face hugger no matter what movie it may be.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Those are the early predecessors of the face-huggers and aliens, they evolve into what you see in Alien/Aliens over time. Prometheus is like 1200 years before Alien.

To get The Hunger Games fandom, I think you need to have read the books first. They're not great literature, but they're narrative crack. I busted through them in a single weekend. The concept's not novel by any means, but the pov is, especially in the books which are first person accounts. You only see and know what Katniss knows.

Oh and Jennifer Garner is phenomenal, imo.

How can they evolve when they're stranded on a dead planet with no other life around except for the odd unknowing space traveler that shows up once every few hundred years? Also in the original Alien when the space guys enter the ship they encounter the mummified remains of the pilot of that ship which looks exactly like the Engineers from the Prometheus movie. If I remember correctly the crashed ship looked almost exactly like the ships in Prometheus and Ripley and crew guessed the ship had probably been on the planet for over a 1000 of years. That would put the crashed ship in Alien roughly around the same time frame as the events in Prometheus and the face huggers on that ship were dorment in their eggs until someone entered the cargo hold. Add in the ship was empty of all crew except for the mummified remains of the pilot who had a hole in his chest from an alien exploding out and killing him. Obviously the ship was a ship that was trying to escape with it's cargo that probably came from the bio test facility planet in Prometheus. The pilot probably took off when the biological weapons in the other ships broke free and killed the various crews in an attempt to get to Earth and deliver his cargo of death before the alien inside him matured

+1 I watched the movie before the book and I hated it. After I read the book though everything made sense ^^

I think they cut too much of character building time

Sure thing. Here's the first one, but I warn you, have them all piled up by the chair once you start.

Yeah, but the movie would have lasted for hours longer. I think they did a good job at sketching things in for people who were familiar with the books. I don't know what I would have though had I not read them first. And I think they tightened up some plot bits better in the movie. I should watch it again.

That isn't the same planet that Ripley and the crew lands on. There are more parts to this story coming in the next 2 films. As per the comments directly from Ridley Scott.

I never knew Prometheus was part of a trilogy. Alright then, I defer from passing final judgement until the other movies are released.
