JH13Pro....

My vote on Cardas IEM because it's more controversial, supposedly.

@Warren and the Silent One: I'M RIGHT HERE GUYS

3D Printer: Shhhh... ignore the chattering of the meat beings.

Me: Yes pretty.

Check out some of the software I mentioned in my lonely 3D printer thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/679185/the-3d-printer-thread-d

But TLDR, tinkercad is super easy to use. Like moving lego blocks around. I have no real CAD/CAM experience and here I am printing T50RP baffles in a week.

HiFiMan RE-600 Songbird

or

Cardas EM5813 Model 1

I vote for a huge giant mega write up of all your iems, but just for me in a PM. Thanks. Otherwise RE600 :(

Cardas.  I still find myself confused by the brief demo I got of it.

Hey.

How have you all been?

So far that's two votes for the Cardas and two votes for the HiFiMan.

Speaking of IEMs, I got word from Tralucent that my 1Plus2 is done. Normally you can get them with black, red, or blue shells (similar to FitEar), but as I mentioned a while back I went with a custom color scheme for mine. Special request. At first I was going to go with bubblegum pink shells, but I decided to use pink for another project, and for these I ended up going with yellow.

Those are the pictures Gavin sent me. I think the yellow pairs really well with the black carbon fiber faceplates. It looks very athletic. Reminds me of a sports car.

Cardas - only because I've heard the RE-600, albeit shortly.

Love the color. It's especially nice that it's not a standard yellow, which keeps it from looking like a bumble bee. I'm gonna go all Paris Hilton on you: that's hot.

They came out looking great. Agreed, it looks like something that Lambo would do.
btw, +1 for Cardas. dt880smile.png

I am bit disappointed because I was hoping for pink but these look really cool. I am getting vinyl seats in the same colors. On the subject of cool colors, the fact custom art is making their Pro 330 silicone ciems in cool colors such as blue and pink and brown makes me lust for them intensely.

Here's the thing... I am literally being pulled every which way IEM-wise.  It's almost dizzying.  And with the SE846 out soon/now, there's a whole other thing to consider.  And of course, there are some other things that now have my attention outside of IEMs (Alpha Dog, etc.).

I use to feel the same way lol. I'm pretty much done now. It's quite refreshing to get to this point. 3 is a charm :).

Hey, I have a quick related question.  What was the final impetus that made y'all get customs?  And more importantly, which one?  confused.gif

One of my stumbling blocks here is the expectation of customs being all "ahhh" ::cue heavenly choir::  I'm not saying my first custom needs to be my endgame custom, but I do want to be mightily impressed.  A bit unrealistic maybe?  redface.gif  I think that has been factoring into my indecision lately.

That he's in school should make the effort simpler, yet! Once we remind his Uni that the Getty is just up the street. And Hollywood just to the East... :thumb:easy leverage for a semester or school year via foreign exchange.

You know, you would think that (and I did) but apparently it is a stumbling block.

as a show of support.

Haha, that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.  biggrin.gif  There is one slight wrinkle in that plan though... and it's that Bryce, Mike and CEE TEE have some pretty incredible offers floating around.  Incidentally, why a JH16 as opposed to a JH13?

Nah, I don't think so.  Of course I say this from the standpoint of someone who has had the incredible luck of having never been scammed.  Just lucky I guess?

I feel ya bro, same here.  I'd be at the mercy of the designs of others.  I think that if I did go that route and decide to mess with a 3D printer, the first thing I'd print is that T50rp baffle that a_rec came up with.

I mostly use my JH16Pro with the adapter anyway. Aside from that, I've got the FitEar MH335DW and C435. I plan on adding a Canal Works L05QD and UERM to the roster at some point too. I was thinking about picking up a JH13Pro as well, since I really like the 16, but I'm waiting to see what JH unveils this fall first.

Hmm, I probably wouldn't evven consider the JH-3A, but I am curious as to why the JH16 over the JH13?  It seems that many people like and rave about the JH13, and not so much the JH16, so I'm understandably curious as to why you chose that one.  smile.gif

So far that's two votes for the Cardas and two votes for the HiFiMan.

I don't want to vote because I've heard them, and already have some basic impressions.  It'd be greedy for me to specify one over the other purely for the sake of discussion, on the off-chance that someone is considering purchasing one of them.  frown.gif  However, if you need a tie-breaker, I'd much rather hear your thoughts on the Cardas as I've pretty much ruled out the RE-600.  smile.gif

I didn't even hesitate. Luckily I sold my etymotic hf5 and my old internet modem yesterday to make up most of the cash.

Actually snapped one up from the same seller, at the same price but the 64gb model http://www.ebay.com/itm/64GB-Microsoft-Surface-RT-Tablet-/181185920884?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item2a2f85bf74#ht_1999wt_1255
