Hmphhh, interesting. Makes me wonder if this desktop amp can deliver as much as the poster claims.

I kind of suspected this would happen. Which makes me wonder if this all wasn't some publicity stunt in the first place. Now people feel like they have a victory, and now Microsoft can say "hey look we listen to our fans!" Plus it got people worked up and investing themselves emotionally into the Xbox One.

I also half way wonder if they're going to try to gradually reintroduce some of these policies over time once the system has sold more.

I don't think it was a publicity exercise, just classic Microsoft arrogance. Even if they fix it it will leave a bitter sentiment.

Lol. That quotation cracks me up.

However the Playstation 4 may be the first Playstation (besides for PS1) that I will not get on launch day (Sure no DRM and stuff, but I still don't like how I have to get PS+ for Online gaming)

Would you give your credit card details to Sony?

Depends on the specs, specifically whether it is fully class A for the whole dynamic range. Other than that the marketing spec looks fantastic. I also cant wait to see the PCB porn. The DAC looks kinda meh, no exciting details yet. In that price range theres lots of tough competition.

Someone mentioned FLCL a few pages back. That was always an intriguing animated thingamajig to my mind. It carries rather pleasant associations too; I remember sitting on the sofa with my girlfriend while mini-marathoning it, her fingers gently going through my hair.

I've read some very different impressions of that amp. Negative ones. While I haven't heard it myself yet, I really don't care for its visual styling.

Speaking of ALO, anyone else hear about the Founders Club? I'd post a link, but they seem to have taken the page down. Basically it was an online form you had to fill out---including an essay!---to join this group wherein ALO would periodically send you cables that were experiments and cast-offs, basically stuff they deemed unmarketable otherwise, under the guise of calling them limited editions. I know they got some rather unkindly feedback about it, so maybe they took the page down as a result?

I've been somewhat obsessed with capelets lately.

Stuff like what this model is wearing:

I loves 'em.

Now to just get one in seafoam green with matching colored glasses frames and dye my hair pink. Oh and some shark tooth earrings. Rock the Mupps style.

Oh yeah, someone in this thread also mentioned listening to Sleep's Dopesmoker a while back. Was that you, Mosshorn? Anyway I picked up Southern Lord's badass reissue of it this week:

I'm also seriously considering picking up that massive Burning Witch boxset with just about everything they've ever recorded put to vinyl. I luuurve Burning Witch.

There was a showing of Confession (1937) on TV a few weeks ago, and Kay Francis was absolutely haunting in it.

I love this woman. One of the great forgotten Hollywood starlets. In one of my future diary entries, I'm going to write up some stuff about her. <3

This. I'm somewhat interested in Peyton winning another SB, because he's a UT grad and I watched him play here, but otherwise my interest in the sport has been waning for years.

College FB, OTOH, is 1 million shades of awesome. cool.gif

The page was removed shortly after they revamped their site. I don't know, maybe they have a new layout in mind and it'll eventually go up again?

I have NGE's OP stuck in my head.

So good, even if it's from a decade past.
