You know, I realised (or remembered? hur hur) that the first time I actually came across this idea was probably Ghost in the Shell. I suddenly think I should rewatch it.

Is it really a good show? I have the DVDs but never got around to watching them :P. Heck most of the stuff I have I've never gotten around to watching lol. I have like the entire collection of DB, DB Z and DB GT and still haven't watched like half of it :P. I think I'm more of a collector than a watcher : /

I like the first film and the first series. The sequels (of both the films and the series) were uninspiring. I don't know about the new stuff!

Nothing at the moment. However so far I've enjoyed: Persona 4, Gravity Rush, the new Lumines, Assassin's Creed (despite not being into the rest of the series at all), and some other puzzle type games I can't recall off the top of my head.

Honestly, I don't play vidyagames nearly as much as I used to in high school and college, and of that allotment portables only take up a fraction. Even when I have free time, I usually opt for something else these days.

I did!  smile.gif  It is an amazing sounding piece of kit!  In fact, it ended up coming home with me due to Mike's incredibly generosity and concern for my listening needs.

EDIT:  Oh, and the DarkStar is here too.  redface.gif

Someone made a point that the PC platform were plagued with pirates. That's true, and so does the console. But something else that's eating into the game publishers' sales on consoles that Microsoft has shown its hand to combating, the same way that most big name publishers are combating piracy on PC with DRM: used games sales. On PC, this is somewhat negated by the fact that a mostly accepted form of DRM exist: Steam. For those that are patient enough, they can get ridiculous amount of discounts on games, either indie or A-list games. And even then, there's not only Steam that offers discounts, there's also Green Man Gaming, there's Humble Bundle, Desura, Indieroyale, etc. for indie discounts, there's GOG for really old games.

But on the consoles? There's only the used games route. The only difference is that, ultimately, even with all the discounts of games on PC, the devs are still getting their money. On console with used games, the devs ain't getting that money for the sales, since it's a one time deal, but it's the retailers. That is why MS is doing what it's doing with the XBone.

Used games sales are to consoles as piracy is to PC gaming for the game publishers.

I'm going to sleep now with my new-found freedom.

I'm still waiting on the "XL" pads to try the M100s again...

As of now, I'm finding these new Monster headphones extremely fun and engaging. Probably the most fun can I've heard lately!

(never thought I'd like a product endorsed by Nick Cannon of all people! LOL ph34r.gif )

You may have just helped me realize something about myself. Thanks.

It's kind of funny then that the only thing we truly own we can't sell, yet.

I actually have been hunting down a BL Xenogears, but that's like trying to get a cheap Tales of Destiny. It just doesn't seem to happen. You know what else is one that I want to get, but just can't seem to snipe out? Friggin' Persona 2.

I wanted a BL FFT for the longest time but since it wouldn't technically be from my youth, I just caved and got it on virtual console.

The older persona games are impossible to find reasonably from when I tried.

Chrono Cross is the one I never finished and no longer own so that's a regret I need to fix. But, not as much as letting a friend I stopped talking to lend my Wild Arms to his friend who he stopped talking to. Frickin hell.

Funny stupid story. I got a copy of the Lunar TSS for PS, the huge box set. I didn't want to play it at the time but wanted the soundtrack so i opened it to rip the soundtrack which have part of on my iPhone to this day. My original plan was to resell at a profit. But it may have been a blessing in disguise because I kind of want to play it now. It seems like a real adventure.

And no love for the midnight channel reference?? How'd you like Persona 4 anyway?

I'm glad they finally said they were working on Persona 5. Probably next-gen so I'll have to get a PS4 sooner than later. I honestly want to preorder one just to help make the point.

Is that IRC channel thing happening, anyone? My gf sees mIRC open on my laptop the other week and says it looks like one of those hacker movies haha.

Yeah, can't say I like the Darkstar, it was pretty disappointing, but the WES is one of my favorite stat amps, so smooth and "silky". (I would say warm, and it is a little, but not excessively).
