You did know National Donut Day was July 7, right?
Yeah, I'm sure the case was inspired by the W4S design, though I think it might actually be a little smaller.
Because of my choice of avatar?
Changed it to something more distinctive...
I think you're thinking of the W4S stuff like the rest of us. It really does look like their DAC.
Hmm, dunno then. I'm also looking at the Emotiva XDA-2. Aside from the great price and good connectivity, I really like that it's got a stepped attenuator and defeatable ASRC. The impressions on the forums are not very revealing. Anyone else have any revelations?
I have more goodies --- but maybe I should reveal them slowly?
I've realized that I've gotten into the wrong type of hi-fi for my geographic region. Taiwan is like a secret mecca of super-awesome speakers. Usher Audio is here, and an innumerable number of other smaller but notable manufacturers. Just now, I noticed the Lawrence Audio Violin, and was totally enamored with its design. I looked up some info, and low and behold, it's a husband/wife operation here in Taipei (thought it was from HK at first blush). Whenever I walk through "hi-fi" alley, gorgeous Avantgarde speakers line the windows, but I don't pause to listen, but instead shove amorphous pieces of acrylic even deeper into my ears. There must be something wrong with me.
Mr. Violin should check this out?
