I think we have a winner in Idsy's house, lol. Congrats, I knew they would probably grow on you.

Oh SNAP!!!!! Thank you Dave. I never new Cavalli had a mobile amp in the works. If Cavalli puts some magic behind this little portable like they supposedly have with their desktop stuff I'm all in. Watch, it'll probably be something like 800 dollars meaning I'll have sell a kidney. I'm going to start saving up now.

I wonder, could this be the mysterious mobile amp our favorite fearless diary thread heroine was hinting at?

I had a sudden reminder of the kid who sold one of his kidneys to fund an ipad.

Talk about loosing resale value :P.

I vaguely remember that iPad story. Here's hoping Cavilli Audio can raise the bar in the portable arena.

I had a nice mellow Sunday today. To finish the evening off on a even mellower note I decided to kick back cafe side to some calimine tea, a slice of banana loaf and my SM64/CLAS-db/RX MKIII-B.

Is it possible to feel like a winner AND a bum all at once? Cause that's the amazing feat of prestidigitation that the 334 have worked upon me

It helps to keep things fresh and you can accommodate more music genres at the same time. Although I do generally opt for IEMs that are good all-arounders :).

334/SUI/1P2. Damn that was easy. Now please, stop me before I lose my mind and make the aforementioned a reality :l

I think it is a possibility (hobo winning the ultimate powerball!) lol.

Well sometimes it's good to think that way Idsy to save your pocket money. Denial can be such a beautiful thing (lol joking) ;).

The tea tasted awesome as did the banana loaf. The SM64's sounded not to bad considering i'm still sporting Comply's and I'm still waiting for better tips to be delivered. I'm rather surprised these sound so good considering Rins measurements make them look so awful. I don't think they're giant killers and there are things they could do better but overall I think they're a good IEM. Hey Idsy, did you notice any kind of mid-range suck out when you had them? On some songs I'm detecting a bit of a dip in the upper mids but it doesn't sound as extreme as Rins measurements would have me believe. It's rather weird, the mid-range in general seems rather clean and open.

Hey guys, just a quick thought. Considering all us regs on this thread have been chewing the fat with one another for so long and we seem to have evolved into a rather close knit crew I think we should take it to the next level. I say from here on in we should cement our head-fi street cred and start using our own gangsta sign and become the first ever Head-Fi audio gang.

Hey Warren, could you take the pic below and change the words to read "Diary Club Cred 4 Life"? U wit me brutha, word and piece out.

I rarely visit Rin's blog for measurements; that's what the pirate site and IF are for; but does he do measurements and listening too?

He commented in the blog he thought the SM64's had nice bass. The few times I've been on there I've noticed he discusses the measurements with little or no comment about the sound. I'd be interested what Tyll or the happy go lucky pirate crew would come up with graph wise.

EDIT

Right now I'm listening to songs like Pinball Map and Bullet Ride by In Flames and these IEM's DO NOT sound like they have a huge dip in the 5K range. There's a dip somewhere around there but not a huge pothole like on the graph.

HERE eke, take a look at the second graph and see what I'm talking about. I'm not a graph guy but even I know enough to know that's one ugly graph. According to that graph the mids should sound like complete congested and recessed crud but they don't.

jgray, I think DF knows something he's not telling us. Do you think we're secretly the same person, but DF is the only one who knows? I mean, this is like the third time he's confused us tongue.gif
