Or to try some danged HD25's. People have gotten me hyped on those, now.

I didn't really like the HD25s compared to the M80. I felt the boost at 100-200Hz and 10 Hz was too much, bassy alone would have been fine but the treble was sort of painful. The M80 in contrast is completely un-fatiguing and smooth. IMO it's DT1350 > M80 > HD25.

Where would the Amperior fall in that chain?

Honestly, Mike Patton started that hair craze back in the 80s, and he wore it much better. wink.gif

Lol...
I used my s3 to drive it I found the volume to be very low.....
The comfort was really good and I get how they are clear and detailed but......
Wasn't punchy enough for me......
I much prefer the hd518 if I am going to use an amp....

I remember Tyll saying he found the Aviators surprisingly good. Now whether that means surprisingly good for Skullcandy or surprisingly good in general is a different story. :P

First time I gave the momentum a listen I was pretty underwhelmed. But I just gave them a listen again the other day and I don't know why or how but I really liked them that time.

I'd rather have the Aviators than the Momentums. I'm really not a fan of the Sennheiser house sound.

Thread Starter

Listening to reports on how the new FAD Pandora headphones sound is a little depressing. More than a few folks have commented that the treble on the lower-end models is unbearable.

The higher-end models are supposed to be more mid-centric. Hmm.

Recommended only for those who get high on their music.

I agree.....
Although I was not at all impressed with other skulcandy products......
The aviator is truely good......
