Just Ordered one of those Hifiman RE-400s.

Thanks warrenpchi for the RE400 rec!

Wut?  You were serious about that?  biggrin.gif  Enjoy 'em.  Haven't run into one negative word about them yet.  And at that price, I think they are worth the money.

Also, I seem to remember there being fans of the JVC FXT90 in here.  Can one of you tell me why this limited edition version of it is $1,660.70?

"Wrong" is more based on intended usage.
And it doesn't matter...

Went out for the afternoon. Just logged-in upon my return only to get... a welcoming message from Head-Fi. One that haven't seen in 2.5 years. Anybody else today? Or perhaps, I'm extremely tired and just never noticed the encouragement so deep into being established. rolleyes.gif

Thanks for Joining!

Hey vwinter, I don't want to clutter up your classifieds thread if this is a wild goose chase, so I'll just ask here.  When you say medium UE tip, would that by any chance include the medium tips that come with the UE700 as shown below?

If so, and those are the ones you want, would you be willing to trade for the same tips but in the smallest size (XS)?  I gots me some tiny ear holes.

Nope, can't say that I have.  But I did get an email from the Gas Co. saying that I overpaid previously and now have credit, so I don't have to pay anything this month.  Not as warm and fuzzy as yours, but appreciated nonetheless.

EDIT:  Hey, you know what should REALLY be in that welcome email that everyone gets?  In bold red, it should say "if you're thinking about starting a new thread asking for what headphones to buy, DON'T DO IT!  Go to the recommendation thread instead."

Haha, I wish I could help you.
I can't even remember why exactly I wanted them. I think someone said UE tips sounded great on the ASG-1(surprisingly tip sensitive IEM) which has a pretty... girthy nozzle, but I can't even remember for certain to be honest. I never had any of any size to begin with.

The UE700 probably has tiny nozzles right? Maybe I have some other extra small tips lying around that I could send you if you don't have a preference.

UE only sold them in varying size only sets for like $15 plus $7 shipping which wasn't worth it to try a pair of tips and the have other sizes I didn't need. Maybe I should take that down... It's been up for well over a year lol.

I'm not sure if the shafts are any smaller than normal... as I do have other tips that fit it.  Anyway, do you still have said ASG-1?  I'm honestly not using them (never have as I know they won't fit) so I could easily shove them in an envelope and send them off to you.  Unless you live in Bum**** Egypt, I would imagine that the shipping on that wouldn't be a big deal.

Do you know why I find them calming? They remind me of very old DOS programs where the computer will tell you what it's doing and then continually add ellipses on to each line (or spin around a backslash or something) to let you know it's still doing it.

Old dusty computers are cute...........

Yes!

Oh C'MON!!! *slaps head* That AD2000X price isn't really that great and isn't so new but the A2000X price...

I haven't really heard anything that positive about the A2000X though. :P At the price it might be worth a gamble but ughhhh.

I would love to get some SCE credit tongue_smile.gifnext month! I was thinking... maybe Head-Fi is discouraging my silence. And want me to open some (understated) and post more.

Okay phew. Goldenear's A2000X graph has arrested my curiosity.

eek.gif The horror!!! I've decided to just skip my bowl of late afternoon tea - an elegant Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl and wait for dinner. Worse, I may log-in after said dinner only to find that Tina has vanished. eek.gifeek.gifeek.gif

SCE?  Thought that was only for down here?  I wish LADWP would give me a break.  In addition to their normal low price rolleyes.gif, I have to pay just a little more than everyone else because I joined their green program.  I get a surcharge added to my bill every cycle, but also the assurance that the power I use (or an equivalent amount of it) comes only from clean and renewable sources.

WOAH! Over here, the "limited edition" and normal fxt90s are priced the same.

Eep. I just realised that ES10's are $250 on Amazon JP...
