Sadly, it is. I also have carpet in my house, so it increases my risk. Just be sure to open your case and let it sun for an hour a week or so.

In keeping with the current TMAC theme I shall now open my post in a rather out of character fashion. Also, please pardon my warrenpchi like massive post. The more I think about it the more I think TMAC should have warren Wednesdays

Hey, stop molesting the messenger!  Just saying, that's what I heard.  Actually here's what it was verbatim:  "hey, the XBA2 are very good; a little forward in the midrange; yes, it may be the best; I can see me using it more than the others."

Don't worry Warren, I still love you although me and other peoples bank accounts hate you.

Do you know that this sounds exactly like a line from the commentary of Iron Chef (Japan)?

I haven't watched it in a long while but I love that show. The local foodie network used to air it 2 or 3 times a week

The XBA-2 certainly seems like it's a comfortable shape. That's why I'm Intrigued. I'm still intrigued about the C-10 as well!

You know deep down you want to so don't fight it and just buy them both. I foresee a couple of weeks of ramen and ketchup soup in your future

In other news, if someone has some HD-25's they want to get rid of, PM me. I MUST TRY THESE FINALLY.

I have a pair of HD25 ii-ii Adidas which are modded meaning the bass hump has been removed. It's quite a nice listen and they'll be staying in my collection for a long while. They're far from what can be termed hi-fi but are high in the fun factor dept. When you get a pair you will not be disappointed.

Either way the FitEar bug has bit.

Yep, I'm so intrigued by FitEar I definitely would class it as a disease.

No arguing there, I think Audeze is the most overhyped brand in the head-fi hobby.

Here's hoping they go for broke and knock everyone on their ass with the LCD-4 or their closed back headphone. I wonder what they're going to call it?

Waiting out for 6 months to get a new toy is just torture...the interm F111 purchase never looked more appealing - I literally almost clicked yes on Musica Acoustics yesterday. Though would Tenso + somewhere else be cheaper...?

In the past I've wondered if I was to email say PriceJapan and asked them to get me a quote on a product whether it would be cheaper and easier then Tenso. Trying to order from a Japanese site using the provided Tenso info is freaking confusing and Google translate is not a big help.

Like all the other Audeze cans, the soundstage wasn't large, but the imaging was top notch.  I didn't really have enough time to get into the layering or the finer aspects of sounstaging, but the experience was fairly immersing.  The highs were brought forward a notch, the mids were still nice, and the bass was less emphasized, but still rich with nice impact.  I thought it was better than the plain LCD-2's I heard, but don't forget, there's still plenty of time for them to screw it up.

I would have replied earlier, but I was already on my own Mother's Day excursion.  I hope yours went as well as mine did.

It was a nice time and thank you for the quick impressions. Fingers crossed my friend, maybe Audeze will release something that will make people stop and think is special.

I don't think so Magick Man. There is one even more overhyped than them ;).... If you read earlier on in this thread you'd know what I mean ;)....

A brand fit for a heathen king ;)...

Man do you miss a lot in a matter of hours here!!!!

I personally like the whole XBA series......

I like the XBA-3 the best and but in some point in time I had all in my possession at the same time.....

My ranking of the XBA series would go like this 1, 2, 4, 3 with one being the (for a lack of a better word) worst and 3 being the best.....

Just woke up.....

I'll make the thread now!

Heya

Thanks my friend but considering I'm all thumbs and accident prone I really don't think it would be a good idea. I'm in no hurry to solder my fingers together or burn down my house.

Heya

As you can tell I'm in a rather ecstatic mood tonight. A rather perfect mood for supporting the TMAC crew.

Just throwing in my usual lowbrow off the wall humor lol. MalVeaux seems like a rather fun sort so I'm sure he'll laugh along with me....at least I hope he does.

Very Best

Haha, though I think we all know that I learned how to post like that from someone else...

Oh Lord, please no.  I consider myself thoroughly fortunate that there are no months that start with W, nor any that rhyme with my name.  smile.gif

So, as I'm now a scourge of wallets everywhere, I have been thoroughly corrupted by Head-Fi now?  Yeah, I can handle that.  cool.gif

Akash, I think he means new to this thread... biggrin.gif  BTW, at some point, you might want to say hello to MuppetFace.  And oh, reading the first post would be a pretty good idea.  smile.gif

S'cool gal and guys.  Akash has been posting in one of my threads for a month and a half now.  He's pretty chill, and full of enthusiasm at the same time.  An interesting dichotomy, and you know how much we like those.

Heya,

LOL, you just noticed?  It's not mocking so much as it is just having fun.  We kinda decided over in TMAC that - in addition to the avatar - we'd all post like MalVeauX this month.  We don't do it all the time, or in every thread, but we have been doing it.  Kinda fun really, just hope it doesn't become a habit.  BTW, yes, MalVeauX is aware that we're honoring him this month as we secured permission beforehand.

Very best,

Ahh ok now I get it. I don't really keep track of the avatar thread :). I know its all in good sport though (one headfier each month must walk the walk of shame lol ;)...
