The diary entries of a little girl in her 30s! ~ Part 2 - Page 705

Literally. The back end of that car is just... Ugh. As an ass-man, I gotta say, I disapprove

Yeah, that Jag is... umm... eww.

MF, I have a question regarding the RE400. Since IIRC you said it's tonally almost the same as the Paradox, does its technical prowess have that same degree of scaling down too? I'm asking since I'm always noticing how good, technically, modern anime songs are recently, and I felt that whatever gear I have may or may not lie to me with it.

I don't know where I'm going with this, tbh. Anime songs are well-mastered? But how can I say that if I 1) don't have a legit (and legal :P) well-mastered track that's not anime songs (and anime songs) and 2) I may not have the "right tools" for it anyways.

Other than that, enjoy what animedom has done recently (that's not just "WHY JAPAN WHY"): Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
So I think I said before here that there's that post-apoc anime where humanity is at a decline and are living behind 50m tall walls and there's giants on the other side and then one day they manage to breakthrough the wall and eat the populace. Well, the opening song for the episode somehow became the next Guile's Theme.

The original:

(don't read the comments if you care to watch the show; turn captions on for subs)

One of the first mashups I watched:

After seeing the Flat-4 measurements I sort of want to see if the FXZ100/200s would do similarly. The out-of-head and massive power/decay sort of feel on them is sounding more and more similar to how the Flats are being touted (I think I've used this phrasing before...?). Not to mention they have the funky tech that Rin seems to love going into detail over.

What Rin's measurements fail to capture, are the Kappa spirits roaming through the phase tube and the magic that's imparted by the tears of seven virgins. Rock sounds awesome on the F-4, and my ears have yet to be gouged by spikes, measurements be damned

Now you are just making me think there are Kappa shells endlessly sliding back and forth between both ends of that phase tube.

Nah I think the seven virgin tears showed up on the impulse response. You can see them talking selcas inside the CSDs as well.

Yeah, they look EX1000-ish for the spikes. Which I didn't find that awful in practice, almost bearable. Was just worried that they would be coughbeyercough worse.

I don't know about that TwinQY I've heard some bad things about those JVCs (over-hypedville). Even ask Muppet whose tried them. I don't think she likes them as much as the Flat 4s. JVCs tend to have that metallic sound to them...

Rock can get a bit hot at times but find the right tips and source and I think it does rock quite well. Definitely some wow factors in that genre for me.

But they are so fun in the wub wub...again the subbass effect does appear to be possibly similar which is why I mentioned them. The 200s even more so.

Actually one of my complaints about them is that sometimes they're too smooth in the treble and lack detailing. Otherwise it's another one of dem bangerz DAT BASS IEM (to paraphrase sfwalcer slightly)

Really? I'd figure they'd be quite hot in the treble. At least that is generally inherent to the JVC sound (hot metallic treble ;). So they took quite a different approach then on these? Can't say the Sui are overly smoothed (laid back). Not at all lol. Very much upfront in it's presentation and spacious. It's slightly U-shaped but a balanced U-shape (done right) :).

Metallic sounding? Maybe, but as soon as I did the cup dampening mod on my S500z,it was super crisp!

I just got an offer for a trade on my Ortofons for a pair of FXZ200's. I'm not sure if I should take the trade offer or not.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS are up as far as the 1Plus2's are concerned. They were a real enjoyable listen. I'm so going to miss them.
