The diary entries of a little girl in her 30s! ~ Part 2 - Page 690

Speaking of the C435, I've got a pair on order now. FitEar already has my impressions so the process is less of a hassle this time. Decided to get them in blue to compliment my red MH335DW. FitEar doesn't offer many color choices (clear, black, blue, red, or a combination of them); the colors however are very vibrant looking, and the shells almost shine with this interior light from the refraction of their surroundings.

A friend of mine is letting me borrow his Resonessence Invicta. It's warming up right now.

The JH16Pro actually sounds very nice, Too bad about the build quality.

Oh yeah, and I may be hearing the Abyss sooner rather than later.

More like Aiaiai's products, like MuppetFace says.

The 3D rendering of the full-sized headphone at the top of the page is basically the TMA-1 Studio with the wires drawn out of scale and the proportions of the other parts not quite dialed in. The finished versions farther down the page look more different. Not as pleasant as the TMA-1 series, though.

Aiaiai could probably do a good job making headphones with wood cups. I think a dark finish like these guys are using would work really well with their minimalist esthetic.

I think I might have asked this prior, but was curious as to how you got those impressions to FitEars as I though they were quite strict with their approved-audiologist policy.

I did not realize James Cameron was Canadian. Yes I didn't know what the film was so I had to wikipedia it. Caught red-handed in the act.

I had just been thinking of the shape itself. Take out the thinner contours on the FADs and to me, still quite similar. To each their own though.

Stuck with where I'm wanting to go with my purchases atm. This always seems to happen whenever I log on for more than a day or two. Too many enticing things.

The most enticing would be the Flat-4 route but I'd have to sell an awful lot of stuff (i.e. the 3.Ai & the CKN70) in order to recover from that purchase.

There's also the "replace-the-ER4P-with-the-F111" route that's less practical and lost a bit of it's intrigue from inception, but definitely still being considered.

I've also begun to miss the CK100PRO so I'm on the edge for re-buying those as well.

Then there's the "sell-those-3.Ai-for-some-5.0s" route that I dread thinking about the most.

Then those possible A161p rebrands show up not to mention the H-200 special pricing and I just saw a really enticing price for the C4s on the FS forums. Those would be more impulse buys than anything else as the other "serious" buys have been more pre-mediated/

It's a wonder I'll have anything left saved for those HE-6 let alone the.C435s.
What about selling the 3ai just for money? Then give the next purchase more thought.

Seems like this will probably be the case. Although I'll miss the aesthetics but thought even harder about it and can't really part with either the eQ-5 or the Etys. I think a Flat-4 order is coming up soon.

Or unless those V7007s/upgraded GR07s/RE-600s come out sooner than expected.

I'm attempting to get into electronic music, but I'm so confused.

I'm unable to distinguish between the different subgenres. What I am interested is called "electro house" and/or "edm" I believe. Think... Daft Punk, Jamiroquai, etc. Funky groovy ****.

But I don't know how to distinguish all this different type of music! Q_Q

How (and where) ever you will write about it, I for one am looking forward to your opinion on it.

I got into it, technically, but still can't distinguish between the subgenres too. At this point I'm beyond caring and am using Youtube's somehow working recommendations.
And since you guys were on shows for a bit, I'ma take this chance to share this wonderful short anime (and I mean short at 24~ ish minutes)

An amazing short about witches in training without the usual fanservice associated with Japanese witches in anime. VA is oh so good, animation quality is beyond expectation for a short from a new studio, sound FX and music fits in nicely with the atmosphere, and this is legit straight from the studio too, not some pirated stream uploaded to Youtube. They are quite receptive to catering the audience outside of Japan judging from their Twitter feed (since I'm following them) and hopefully they can get enough profit in Japan and the viewership on Youtube convincing enough to make a series out of this, and share it outside of Japan, legally.

Heck if they were to IDK put this on Kickstarter for distributing an international release, I'll gladly throw money their way. It's been too long pirating from an industry that I really love and want to grow so much more.
More rambling (Click to show)
The studio isn't actually "new" since from what I can found they are the guys from GAINAX before they are out of it (fired? resigned? not caring enough to dig deeper). It can be seen too in some of the scenes if one is familiar with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It almost follows the way the latter is animated: Western-like is scenes that demands lighthearted humour, fluid animation for faster action-packed scenes, beautiful detailed landscapes when they popped up, and likable characters that oozes charm. Anime lately has been bringing such surprises for me lately (by lately I mean since the past 6 or so months), just when I'm about to lose fate in it.

You know, as weird as this might sound, this show reminds me of my wonderment and joy when I first consciously know and watch anime.

Yeah, electronic music is labyrinthine. Subgenres such as house are themselves comprised of numerous subgenres.

Speaking of electronic music, I'm listening to the new DJ Koze this morning. It's wonderful. For me personally it'll probably get more rotation than the new James Blake and Vondelpark, both of which are great records in and of themselves.

The Invicta is a brilliant DAC so far. Currently listening to this setup:

Invicta --> Liquid Lightning 1 --> SR-009

Wowie wowie. Oo la la.

Murr-y purr-y. Blah blah blah.

It's good.

Have a random hammerhead lady with a bow.

There are a bewildering number of sub-genres in electronic music....I don't know how people keep them straight. Take a look at this site and see the list of how many channels there are! http://www.di.fm/

There is definitely a lot of genres (and overlaps). I just decided to stop caring about the genres. Though I guess my preferences align around "house music" but there's a lot of things that are hard to classify.

I follow these channels, I hope you find what you like there:

There was one episode that pushed him to the limit though, it was the one in Thailand (?) where they slaughtered and quartered a cow (?) and were consuming it on the spot under the shade of a tree. Homeboy tapped out on that one haha

He should add a female counterpart to the show - with somewhat different tastes - and they should try things together.  I think that'd be fun to watch.

Yup, exactly what I was thinking... and honestly do we really have any hopes that it will sound much better than that?

Hehe, I actually listen to DI on occasion, though I'm not too sure that their breakdowns are hard and fast classifications.  From their offerings, I tend to favor Vocal Chillout.

Did you consider sending them back to be redone if they are not up to your expectations? I've done the same with my IEMs and hoping things will turn out as expected. From pictures I've seen of some of JH's work it looked flawless in the pics... Curious to see pictures of the imperfections you are talking about...

Let's just say I've talked to several other JHA owners who have had similar build issues. One of them sent his back to get the tips polished because, as with mine, they were rough enough to hurt. I'll probably end up doing the same.

TBH it should happen in the first place. Having shells that don't injure people seems pretty rudimentary.
