Patience.............oooohhhhmmmm!!!

This waiting is killing me. Almost 4 weeks lapsed since Phil received my impressions.

4 to 6 weeks is the standard wait for a lot of ciem companies...

I know. Although Phil originally told me that the production period will be around 2-3 weeks. On the second thought I don't have any grudge to Phil. However, I would likt to listen to ba4r asap;)

IKR, that feeling when you wake up every morning, hoping there will be status changes in you order.

Exactly. Every morning I'm looking at my BlackBerry hoping that to see the status changed to "shipped"biggrin.gif

^This!

Waiting is actually really good when you think about it! When you are in the process of ordering something or waiting for something to get to your doorstep you seldom feel the need to make other purchases. During this time, your wallet gets much needed rest :o

I've noticed that the BA4f indeed scales with a better source. I'm noticing a pretty big difference when using the BA4f from the audinst hud-mx1, and the ibasso DX50. I've actually tested the LO from the hud-mx1 vs the DX50, and the DX50 is definitely no slouch. So I'm thinking the amp of the DX50 isn't doing the BA4f justice. It definitely doesn't sound bad, but it could sound better.

Does anyone know of a fairly cheap and small portable amp? And yes, I've already tried the E6, and the internal amp of the DX50 is way better.

If you like warm and bass: JDS Labs C5

If you like neutral; ibasso Dzero was very nice with the BA4F

I'm also warming up to the BA4f, I'm still not the biggest fan of the bass, in relation to the other frequencies. I take about 2-3 db between 150 and 300hz to remove the midbass hump, and this makes all the difference. When plugged in to the HUD-MX1, the SQ is quite amazing, very curious to hear how it performs with a better amp.

And what you would say for leckerton uha-4?

Never head those, did have the Justaudio ones which are similar I think, but I sold those before I had the BA4F

Thanks!

That C5 looks very tempting. I've also found the C&C BH2 portable amp, it's very cheap but should sound very good.

I guess it all depends on which amp I could possibly buy in Europe. But that C5 is starting to look very tempting. Greed has taken over my heart.

I just got some incredibly usefull information for Phil:

I also should mention we use the following amps for testing, we do not go for top end amps as I believe a majority of customers like something affordable and I
try to design all my monitors to not have to need an amp.

O2
iBasso D-Zero
Fiio E07
Leckerton UHA-4

This makes me think, the jds C5 would be a very good pairing with the BA4fs.
