Oh my, my iBasso DX50 arrived and my BA4F's aren't too far off being finished!

Cool! I'm roughly in the same boat! The DX50 should arrive within a week, and my BA4F will be finished this weekend.

Funny story: it seems the engineers at cosmic ears were a bit grumpy about finishing my shells, since they are horribly small. So Phil was like, **** it I'll do it!

Looks like life is picking up again!

Next week I should receive the iBasso DX50, the BA4f and I should get new medications for some extreme inhalation allergies :)

Stop trying to wear your CIEMs inside your nose and you can take a  pass on the medications.

As someone who has suffered all the way through the hayfever season (and an asthma sufferer to boot) I sympathise.  Here's hoping the medication helps a bit!

Yes, I have hayfever too, very severe, but I'm also allergic to dust mite. So you could say I'm never truly save. I already tried a bunch of antihistamines, and they don't work at all! So I'm considering immotherapy. It's either that or something like prednison...

Atleast the hayfever season has stopped :)

For anyone that does not have cosmicears on facebook:

Due to an overwhelming demand for our products lately, which took us by surprise (a great thank you to all old and new customers), we have decided to put a limit new orders at the moment. We have made this decision in order to make sure that our customer service is still up to high standard, the way you have known it to be in the past and the way we aim to always have it.

"Our customers shall never have to wait too long for their monitors to be created and once they receive them, quality should always be the very best." , this is and always will be our philosophy.

We are working extra hard and longer hours to fulfil all the current orders and we appreciate your patience during this busy time. We have measures, some innovative and unique, which we plan to introduce very soon to enable us to build your quality monitors at a quicker pace than at present whilst maintaining and improving on our quality. In addition we have some exciting new models we will be introducing very soon.

We thank you for your patience at this time and this is just a temporary situation whilst we catch up.

Thanks Phil

Makes sense. From day one, Phile has always been concerned with becoming one of those CIEM companies with bad service.... You know the type. He prioritized quality service over growing the brand, which is probably a tough choice to make. Imagine a bunch of people waving money at you, and you reply "slow down, one at a time" - seems tough but smart.

I was listening to my BA4F a lot yesterday, comparing and contrasting with some others. Very good sounding CIEM - despite the F in the name, it's still very clear, very accurate, great top end presentation.

And the bass is just about right for all genres I think, bass heads probably won't have enough won't you say?

I think bassheads will love this cIEM actually! The bass extends very well, and it's incredibly tight and punchy. And the bass is There, it's very noticeable and responsive etc. It's not overly boosted, and still sounds quite balanced, but I think bassheads (tending towards a more balanced sound sig) would really dig this sound signature.

Then again, I only listened to the demo model. And the properly fitting cIEM should have slightly more bass. Probably.

Yes, basshead is too general of a term. Some people just want dark, muffled top end and massive bass all over the place. But for those who favor actual quality lows, and still care about the rest, the BA4F could be an option.

Well, I recon a lot of cIEM companies couldn't withstand the temptation and crashed and burned because of it! The name Frogbeats comes to mind...

Frogbeats, really? I thought they were doing well. I guess I've been out of the loop, or I was misled by their more upmarket pricing. As for crashing and burning, it doesn't get better (or worse) than Livewires or Kozee.
