I sent an email to Phil. I'm waiting for his answer.

Sorry to hear that. I hope he can find a nice solution for you mate.

If possible please write what Phil has written to you about this issue and then how the issue was handled.

I just received an email from Phil.
He apologies for the issue. Every CIEM is fully tested before shipping and he personnally check the results. Very occasionally he have experienced some damages during shipping.

So I'll send it back to him ASAP and let you know the next steps.

Anyway, except this issue I'm very pleased with the BA4F. Pretty neutral.

I am not sure which one to choose as both r quite similar in terms of price range. I am also unsure of which signature i favour more, as i love the midsl and the pure awesome rock sounds coming out from my SR325I, but i also love the detail from my etymotic HF5. Not a basshead, but like most, i do like its presence in music. Hopefully it can be as impactful as my SR325I, but as tight as my HF5 as well.Hard choices to make haha : D I am open to other suggestions as well.

Thanks for your help ^^
Haha im in exactly the same situation, the only difference is that seeing as im staying in Singapore, the location problem dosnt really matter
I listen to most genres of music but have a soft spot for rock, anyone knows how either ciem fares all round? Thanks smily_headphones1.gif

Just got my BA4F, here's some pictures. I switched to my UE cable instead cause I liked it more but the cosmic cable isn't bad either, very soft. Haven't given much listen yet so I'll update on that. So far though, the seal is good, fit seems fine.

Enjoy! Sorry about the fingerprints. :)

Nice! That red shell finish turned out really well. What colour are the rest of the shells? Black?

The whole thing is purple. Just went with the CE color.

Photo's never seem to do that colour justice either. My HY3's are in the CE purple colour and it is a really nice shade of purple when you see it in real life.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions regarding the BA4F too.

Am I right in thinking that you've got the pure (the old dynamic) Phlas?  Would you recommend it for casual listening (at work mainly, to block noise) for stuff like rock and metal?

Thanks

I'm not sure if there's something wrong but I hear a lot of sibilance. Is that what you were complaining about, marleybob?

Sibilance, really? My HY3 barely has any treble.

That's pretty much exactly the opposite: I had too much bass/lower mids and way too little mids and treble! Was there anything strange with your ear, like really tiny ear canals?
