But all of this was with an impression kit I did myself, and it included a return shipping box, which made it cheaper.

Thanks, that actually sounds really cheap. I thought it'd be more than that too.

Oh for the love of...

Just about ready to give up on the whole custom experience tbh!

Finally seem to get the ma fit about right (still think it could do with being a touch longer), what happens?

I'm in bed the other evening, listening to one of my many audiobooks when suddenly all the speech and effects get shifted hard right!  Does come back but now it's centre right.  I do a couple of the sensaphonics test tone sweeps and sure enough the bass has gone on the left hand side.

So even if I was happy with the fit (funnily enough I had to kind of twist them in to get them to fit properly!)they still have to go back due to a blown bass driver (I'm aware that this could happen on any unit tbh, I'm just whinging now!).

Emailed CE and await their reply.

Cheers

Probably caused by the multiple transfer from and to the UK.

Just the once actually.  The other one was an empty shell :)

I feel sorry for you dude, really. I am sure that Phil would be most helpful but the unlucky curse on you is quite annoying I must say.

Feeling a little down earlier but as ever Phil is on the case.

Ouch, and I thought I had bad luck. :(

I'm beginning to sound like a stuck record but phil is as determined as ever to get these right.  Had an email yesterday with a few options so we go again.  There is no quit in the guy.  Seriously if any of you have any concerns about fit shoot them a mail.

In the end (!) and we are so close now (!!) I will be writing a separate rambling detail of what we have gone through!  I think Phil and CE deserve at least that much from me anyway.

I heard phil likes a challenge, I think this qualifies!

(Ok I'll stop using the ! now :) ).

Cheers

Just thinking out loud here, I don't know you and I don't know the experience you have, but could it just maybe be you who's exaggerating a little with the fit? biggrin.gif

In all seriousness though, it's good to see CE go all the way to make happy customers

After reading this thread for a few weeks I got interested in the CE products and I'm considering to go for my first CIEM (I order the prefit). However I'm really curious what the sound quality of the BA4 will be.

I'm a user of Triple Fi 10 and lately the UE900 and happy with their sound signature, so if the BA4 has a comparable sound signature that would be great. Is there anyone who could already (or later) do the comparison? Thanks!

I, too, intend to get my first CIEMs (the BA3). Seems like CE have their hands full though. I think it's already three weeks since I signed up for the waiting list... but I guess good things come to those who wait etysmile.gif

A little out of order there mate in all honesty.

I would of loved the reshell with fisher to have worked first time.  I would have loved the minervas to have worked first time.  I would have loved the CE's to have worked first time, SO WHY THE **** would I exaggerate about the fit problems?  All it's done is cost me time and money in postage.  It's also cost Phil a lot in the way of time he could have spent with other customers, and resources in postage and material.  So no I don't think I'm exaggerating.

And breath.

Cheers

TF10 and UE900 is way much more colorful compared to BA4. BA4 is a monitor ciem it has a rather flat/analytical sound signature. You might rediscover your music collection. If you want something similar to TF10 sound signature go for BA5 or BA3.

But I believe you might like BA4. In the early posts you can see project86's comments about them. They are extremely positive.

It is wonderful to see that Phil is doing excellent on customer service part too. I understand it is not pleasent for both sides but at least he does everything he can do to fix all the problems. He got me 1 more time. So far everything is awesome about CE.
