Current estimates from CE seem to be that the full range will be available for general order from around the tail end of March, when the new cables are in full supply.

If I'm reading correctly, you're going to get the BA4 beforehand? That would be nice so I can see your impressions on it before I pull the trigger.

No, I didn't mean it to come across that way. I will be getting a BA4 when they become available.

Oops, I read wrong then. I thought BA4 was coming out in Feb? Guess it got pushed again? I'm patiently anticipating the day they release, I hope they're what I expect them to be!

Hi

Just heard from Phil and they hope to get my unique situation sorted this week.  I did just want to ask a quick if not obvious question.  My right ear piece appears slanted almost, compared to the left which appears as you would expect.  Now I know that everyones ears are not the same but this just appears off.  If I hold the piece as you would expect then the canal portion sticks up at an angle.  If I hold it so the canal portion is level with the left then the rest of the piece  is at an angle.  Certainly not what I was expecting, and was wondering if that was a cause for my fit issue.

Cheers

I've never made impressions, but when I use universals, I've noticed that my left ear is much steeper than my right.

Has anyone tried the HY2 yet?

Read this whole thread today but don't think I saw them mentioned.

I currently have Westone UM1s which are great but I want to go custom as its going to be better value for money than getting some custom tips.

Really can't decide between the HY2 and BA2. If the HY2 had a crossover I think I would be sold!

I think the BA2 is an amazing warm sounding earphone. Reminds me a bit of UM2 I would say which would guess is a upgrade of um1 by a fair bit. I "think" they Hy2 would be bassier but I have not seen any impression or heard myself do could be and likely am wrong!

Good to hear. I was just going to get a set of UM2s before I started looking at custom tips and then finally customs. Really excited about getting these whenever they're available again. The BA2 sounds perfect for me.

Just got HY3 ordered up, Phil is shipping out with the old cable then sending me the new ones when in stock. Really cant wait for these just got to get ear impressions done and sent back. If it wasnt for all the info on this thread from the likes of swimsonny, project86 and swims video on the impressions I dont think I would have been as confident on paying that much or my first CIEM.
Thanks guys.
The customer service from CE is amazing Phil seems to respond no matter what the issue or the time. And he's a fellow manc. And now the new range with more choices on colour and customability. Its getting better and better. biggrin.gif

Are the prices have become higher? I think the single and dual BA where cheaper before but I'm not sure

i think they may have slightly increased but you now get more options and better stuff for the money like the new quad braid cable and they are still dirt cheap so i would not worry!

yes... so true,,,,, im trying to justify buying two of them... one DD1 and a BA1 just to have one for different types of music I enjoy... since my music library is on the extreme on both ends,,,, rap, R&B, hip hop, trance, dubstep, jazz, country, classic rock, rock, classical...
