All of this is appetizing, I can't wait to read the impressions for the HY3 and Flex 3 drivers hybrid... I'm was thinking of buying a 3.A from HEIR, but I may as well hold it back.

I do have a question though: Are these so-called Premium cables using Westone-style connectors?

I thought I may just say, regarding sleeping with these, I personally find it really odd, difficult and uncomfortable to lay down (I don't like to sleep but I do like to lay down and chill) with a IEM that the cable goes over your ear and even found that it can push the IEM out. For that reason I reckon the best sleeping option may be a cable down option.

However that of course had negatives like more microphonics from past experience with the classic westone cable (CE"s premium cable) which I have had on universals IEMs both cable down a nd over the ears.

i assume you have the full sized shell? would you think if you had full sized + straight down cable it would be comfortable enough to use on the bed?

 

i dont mind about microphonics as i dont usually jog / run / move around while listening

I also dont mind about isolation as well.

 

comfort(meaning i forget about them being in the ear / can even lay down on pillow) is the top priority for my next purchase other than sound quality of course

I have not received mine yet although should not be to long. I have one though that will be cable down and one that will be over the ear so i will let you know in all honesty then. Should not have to wait too long. The last post was to do with universal IEMs experiences.

I never knew about the cable stock but the PCBs were hoped for this weekend so fingers crossed now or very soon. I will check now!

Okay guys the PCB shipment is predicted for Wednesday with DHL so they are normal reliable so it is nearly HY3 time guys wink.gif

So I'm seriously considering getting at least the basic model now. To make things fairer though don't think I'll reuse those impressions I posted earlier, instead will be getting new ones later this month (time of work, book appointments etc etc yawn!). Cheers

So, CE are announcing a new model for November on Facebook... Anyone knows more about this? My bet is that they'll launch a quad BA CIEM at a great price! cool.gif

A quad ba driver ciem is my guess, and I guess everyone elses also smily_headphones1.gif
Phil mentioned to me earlier that he does not believe in putting in more than 3-4 drivers in a ciem, the only purpose would be to make more money. Sound-wise he did not believe it made that much improvement.
