I added a few pics of the Pure Plus at the end of my original post.

In other news, my Flex with the twin driver shipped yesterday.

They do look very well built! No news yet on your triple hybrids?

Waiting for those PCBs that will be used for the crossover. Also apparently they are out of the premium cable. So maybe a few weeks away. Worth the wait I hope.

True, the PCB crossover is worth the wait... That spoiler you posted is great, as it shows nothing once opened! tongue.gif

@Project 86. I am very eager to try my luck but wanted some advice. I had sent pictures of ear impressions that I had and Phil has confirmed that would work.

Out of the few IEMs I have used

1. RE-262 Superb

2. Brainwavz - M2 - Good

3. Hippo 10 - Ok

4. XBA -3 - Not pleased.

Can you tell me what would be the best driver combination for something that sounds close to RE-262 but has a little extra bass presence.

Alhough the triple hybrid is interesting I am holding off from pulling the trigger, I want to get a feel for the bass response on these IEMS. Looking for a neutral and balanced presentation with a minimal mid bass bump. Will be going for the Mid shells so hopefully I can sleep and ride motorcycle wearing them. Not at the same time mind :)

I got reply from Phil at Cosmic, they're not letting on about the new addition in November!

Yeah I'm waiting for feedback on whether or not they're a neutral sounding IEM too. I wouldn't mind if they erred on then side of brightness, but I definitely don't want another warm custom.

It's been a while since I heard the 262, but my initial reaction is that the Twin driver option might come closest. But of course I'll have to hear it first to know for sure. The single BA is good but not as refined as the 262, which is understandable due to A) the low price and B) the single BA design in general.

Ha! That's what I get for posting from my iPad.... Whenever you see me post wacky things like that, or even just spelling errors, you can almost be sure I'm on the iPad. Oh well.

I for one would be most appreciative if you offer a brief comparison of the flagship Cosmic triple hybrid to the TF10 once they arrive.
I shamefully admit to doing quite a lot of my listening on Spotify Premium, as I love the freedom to explore and discover new music.
Obviously the limitations imposed on sound quality will be affecting my appreciation of the TF10s, but Spotify is perfectly enjoyable through my 'big rig' (Spendor S6 floorstanders), and even with high rez files I find the TFs strident and shouty in the lower treble regions.
Sometimes it's enough to make me grimace and remove the 'phones!.
I also miss the midrange and wonder if the Cosmic triples might suit me more.
Thanks for providing us all with your thoughts BTW 86.
Come on Cosmic!, ship those 'phones!

A deep fit with any model of the Cosmic Ears going past the second bend of your ear canals should push resonances into the inoffensive high treble (where the drivers themselves may be purposely rolled off to compensate) and thus any CE should have smoother treble than the TF10 with its large bore and shallow fit.

Here is a Spin of my finished Flex with micro shell and twin driver. It was having problems earlier today but seems to be working again at the moment. Looking very nice!

They do look good, even if I don't fancy red that much! That micro shell is recommended just for the BA's models, or is it possible to have with a dynamic or even an hybrid in that tiny shell?

Sure does. But why are they only offering bottom exit for their fixed cables?
