yes... so true,,,,, im trying to justify buying two of them... one DD1 and a BA1 just to have one for different types of music I enjoy... since my music library is on the extreme on both ends,,,, rap, R&B, hip hop, trance, dubstep, jazz, country, classic rock, rock, classical...

I had a short talk with Phil about the Pure, for those that might be interested this is what he said:

The pure will be renamed the DD1 and will cost 80£, but this time with a top exit detachable cable as standard, the dynamic driver (obviously) and no configurable options.

It will be available from next month with current cables, and at the end of March with the new ones.

Far be it from me to do Cosmic Ears out of business, but perhaps one the Hybrid models would suit you better that contains a Dynamic + a BA ? The HY2 model for example?

One thing I would certainly advise, is that you talk to Phil about what your needs are, he is very approachable and friendly and will be able to offer you advice.

I have broad musical tastes myself, and my HY3 fits all of them.

From experience with my BA1, it seems that it would nicely contrast the DD1. You could also get a micro shell for the BA1 (ma1) and full for the DD1

So you could have different uses for the two!

i thought about this actually,,, but didnt want to be stuck with just a single multi purpose earphone,,, i currently have several headphones and earphones that i use for different types of music..

yep.. that was my thought...  i think having two for almost the price of one would look better to the wife,,,  who already thinks that 10bux is too much,,,   .

Go on treat your self to both.

Can't remember if you've heard/reviewed the BA2 swim?  When I asked Phil about what would be appropriate for someone who listens to a lot of progressive and hard rock as well as audiobooks that was the one that was recommended.

Oh and if you type something like cosmic ears ba2 (or whatever model)into google then the link SHOULD work now.  If you just type cosmicears.com into the bar it won't!

If you go to user gallery then mine are number 11 of 12.  See if you can spot whats different about them.  The blue one is one of a pair of ill fitting tf10's reshell (though I do like that blue!).

Cheers
