low impedance AMP/DAC for Denon AH-D7000 and ASUS Xonar Essence STX

Hi !

 

Could someone tell me which external DAC/Amp to my current Essence STX's S/PDIF output should I buy ? I will use this cans for gaming.

 

I can't find O2 in any shop, so please give me names of different amp/dac's which will be fine with this cans.

If you interested in gaiming only Xonar STX built-in AMP is fine but if you want improvement for music listening than you definitely need external DAC/AMP and Audioengine D1 would be a good start

The DAC on that card is great, use it. Right now I'm using my asgard with great results.

I would like to know - is it a good idea to connect Essence STX to Essence One by S/PDIF and then headphones to Essence One ? Will it give me better sound or it will be the same as Essence STX without Essence One ?

 

I can't use Essence One without Essence STX cause I need Dolby Headphone or Dolby Digital or some surround sound system to playing games.

 

So is that improve sound quality if I connect Essence One's coaxial to Essence STX ? It will be better than only Essence STX ?

I believe the Essence One is overpriced for what you get.

Hook these up to your Essence STX.

SMSL SD-1955 DAC, sold on eBay.

 

O2 amp.
