Record stores in the US are almost extinct.

Still a few good ones around though.

I'm a big fan of Academy Records in NY.

Once upon a time I made weekly pilgrimages to Tower in Boston....

Due to the overwhelming popular demand of Schoenberg on this thread I post this:

Never actually owned this vinyl but have a good FLAC rip.

The phrasing is superb indeed, I love this recording

On a second note, does anyone have a recommendation or a personal favorite for the Kreisleriana?

I do think the 1969 Horowitz recording is a good choice as a recommendation :

Yes it's a wonderful set.

I haven't heard any other complete set of Mozart's string quartet's so maybe it's not

the best ever recorded though.

Still quite amazing IMO.

I've really enjoyed lots of the suggestions here. I really don't know much about classical music but I'm really enjoying it more and more. I feel it is the best to just kick back and listen to for just pure bliss.

What kind or type of classical music (If there is such a thing) is this related to? I really love solo piano I think. Any suggestions?

something like this maybe? I don't know much about contemporary classical music, but I suppose you would be looking for minimalist stuff.
