AKG Q701 with the Darkvoice 336 be a good fit?

Hi all, Would the Darkvoice 336 be a good fit with the AKG Q701? (would the Matrix M-stage be a better fit?) My dac is a Rega (on the dark, analog side) with Kimber PBJ cables. Thanks.

I own a Q701 and La Figaro 336C.

I don't think it is a good match, I think it makes the Q701 sound a bit brighter and lighter.

I prefer my Q701 + Matrix M Stage combo.

Buy whichever one you think looks cooler. That will be the better sounding one.

Very funny, m'Lord!

The Darkvoice has a rather high output impedance for the Q701s!

Better luck with the Matrix M-Stage or even an inexpensive Fiio E9. Darkvoice matches well with Sennheiser cans apparently.

Darkvoice matches with High Impedance cans.

Had the 336 and the K701.  Not the best match.

Thanks for your input.  I actually just worked out a deal for a Burson HA-160. So, hopefully that will be a good fit for the AKG Q701.
