Went from AKG K702 to HD650 but would HD600 be better?

I just bought the Senn HD650 to replace a K702. I wanted something with a little more body and smoother highs. The only thing that is getting to me a bit about the HD650 is the abundance of bass which gets annoying on some songs with heavy bass. I took them off after an hour of listening and my head and ears felt kinda heavy like I had been at high altitude. I don't know if this was from the bass or the clamping or both. So, I'm thinking if the HD600 might solve that. I heard the bass is tamer compared to the HD650 but that it's also brighter. Will the HD600 be that much brighter and fatigue inducing compared to the HD650? Also, how is the clamping on the HD600 compared to the 650 since the 650 clamps kind of hard. I'm using a Bifrost DAC and a Lyr amp. I read some of the 600 vs 650 threads but I those didn't take into account the K702. Thanks in advance.

HE400

Q701

I have tried the DT880 and they were worse than the K702 in terms of brightness. I forgot to mention that another reason I'm getting rid of the K702 is that it was really uncomfortable in terms of its design so that rules out the Q701. I'll look into the HE400 but can anyone else please comment on the HD600 compared to the HD650 based on the criteria in my original post?

Don't expect there to be a world of difference between the 600 & 650. 

 

For fit and comfort, they feel close to the same to me.  If anything I find the 650 to be a tad more comfortable.  Your mileage may vary greatly from mine, as I find the Q701 to be very comfortable.

 

With regard to sound, consider the 600 to be a more neutral version of the 650.  It has less bass.
