I've read a few Chinese reviews on C3 this evening, one of them used GR07 as a test IEM with the player describing GR07 paired as underpowered and thin with lack of bass. I'm trying to find the review again with no luck as I happened to come across it on google images. It has a Cowon C2 next to the C3 in a photo. I'll be giving the C3 a miss, at 13mw there's not enough power for some of my IEM's.
If I find the review again (which I had to translate) I'll link it here as it went into decent detail.

thanks for this, helped me make up my mind.

It's getting late here in Oz. I'll track that review down that went into a little specifics with GR07 pairing tomorrow.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough. It does cost $114 and that's what it says when you buy it and in the emails from ebay and paypal. It's just that the money paypal takes from my account to convert to $114 amount to $119 if I exchange them myself - that's not such an issue. I know shipping isn't free, I just mentioned the shipping cost as it seems strange for a seller like bigbargainonline with so many items sold (probably more than mp4nation and lendmeurears together) and such high feedback rating to not have some sort of agreement and to charge that much for shipping and to have different rates for different items that are similar in size and weight like headphones.

Anyway, this thread got quite sidetracked. I didn't want to argue foe 10 bucks and make a fuss or start a dispute.  I'm definitely not going to cancel my order or bash on the player or the seller or something for 15 bucks LOL.  I just mentioned it because I thought it was odd

The review you posted seems very favorable. It says that the lows are a little boosted but very pleasant and full and don't interfior with the mids; the mids are good and airy and the highs are decent. The only bad opinion I saw was about the RE0 and that it had no bass and was thin and underpowered but I won't be rushing to conclusion on the player just because a $100 DAP can't power the RE0 as it sound thin and lacks bass with every player I've tried without an amp. As far as the GR07 - that sounds unbelievable as I don't see how 13mW per channel isn't enough and it is underpowered and thin with a lack of bass (you sure you're not confusing it with the opinion on re0) as it's pretty easy to drive - hell, I can drive it pretty good on my galaxy s and it's like 6mW. I guess we'll know for sure when I receive my c3.

Has anyone tried it with a 64Gb sd card ? I know typically these type of players will say that the max is 32Gb, but in practice they will actually take a 64Gb card if formatted to FAT32 on a PC first.  For me, it would be preferable if it took 64Gb cards, so I am curious.

Edit: Have ordered one anyway. Couldn't resist :-)

I think the issue with a 64GB, if it works, is searching through 64GB in files, although if all are flac it's probably only around 75 albums

Searching is fine, I can live with that. It would be just nice to know if it can read a card that size :-)
