will any mains usb charger be ok with the c3? i have a decent motorola mains charger but do i need to worry about the output ma figures printed on the charger?

I use my HTC charger adapter with the included USB cable with it and it works without any issues.

Anyone try the c3 with hifiman re262? Enough to drive?

Also is bigbargains the cheapest buyer to purchase these from? Or is there somewhere cheaper.. I dont care if it takes longer to ship

yes i remember doing that with the very first ipods before gapless was a feature, i think i did one long mp3 file back then. but don't remember being able to put tags in for next/previous track. is that done once the output file is created?

 

Should be fine. If it's say 1000ma and your item you are charging only needs 350ma, then that is all it will draw from the 1000 available.

 

The reverse isn't true though, if you have a charger that has a 350ma output, but the thing you are charging needs 750ma, then it either won't charge at all, or it will overheat the charger while trying to pull more current than is available.

Cue files are just text files (example below), the only way I've found to generate ones that work on my C3 is re-ripping the CD and making the files at the same time but it should be possible to make them later as it's just a list of names and the start time of the track within the file.  Probably one of the downsides of using Linux and there's a Windows program that will do it for you!  I've just experimented and they work with mp3s too.

Gonna go ahead and put a brief summary in case other people are curious too. Taobao is the Chinese version of Ebay. There are websites that translate taobao for you and work as middle men between you and sellers on taobao. You essentially tell the site "I want to buy this particular auction" and you send them the money (plus a comission of course). The website company buys the item, and has it shipped to them in China. Once they receive it, they contact you with the official shipping price. You then pay the shipping price and the website company ships the item to you. mistertao.com is one of these websites. You can find  C3s for about $80 + shipping on Taobao. The price will likely be ~$90-$100 if I had to imagine with US shipping. The sellers on taobao also include accessories though. For instance, some of them include personalized laser engraving, silicone protective case (can't find these anywhere except Taobao), screen protectors, memory cards, etc.

Sorry for the OT question, what express company do these agents use in shipping the items bought from taobao?EMS or FEDEX?

I'm sure that's gonna vary from agent to agent. Looking at mistertao, they allow you to choose China Air mail, or EMS. They are don't do any kind of flat shipping rates though. So you can get it shipped however you want, you're just gonna have to pay for it. I haven't actually ordered anything like this before, I have just been reading about it since someone else suggested it. I'll likely order sometime this week, a c3 and a Hakko 936 soldering station (they are cheap as heck on there!).

I've been putting up with this for several days now and It needs to brought to attention. (was happening since day one but now my card is getting full it's a drama)

The track lists, when choosing album / track. Sometimes they start backwards when changing tracks or albums, other times they scroll left starting from the beginning, what happens is when the list scrolls from the right you can't read the beginning of the track or album name, (sometimes it scrolls left other times right) not sure if this was the plan but it's becoming a pain and costing me time and extra button presses, I simply can't see what I'm doing when they start from the end and scroll to the right (especially with long album names) The only way I can be sure the track tittle will be there once going in reverse is back right out to the beginning (TF) and go into the track lists again.

I'm sure others are having it happen and can probably explain better than me.

It's not crippling the player in anyway severely , it's hurting the UI though a touch. Be good if Colorlfy could update it out in the future.
