Tempted. I need a new Dap to succeed my Sansa Clip Zip(be using this for workouts still). I'll be holding back till the end of the year. Mostly looking at Colorfly C3, Sony F803, Sony Walkman Z, upcoming Fiio for now..

Hi, Stozzer 123, Thank you for your response.

We respect you to prefer the C 3 over ROCOO by your objective personal taste. But the price of ROCOO P is only 110 pounds, it is not what your said 100 pounds price expensive. We hope you can check our price before your comments it. I don’t agree with you imagine of our price and the sound quality of it.

In fact, even with the subject judge of the sound quality of different players, there are still has some sound standard to refer to. Such as the soundstage, the bass is muddy or clear, the mids is well layered, and the high is detailed and extended. There are so many items for make a judge of the sound grade. It can’t explain that “my taste is A player is better than B player”.

I don’t defend ROCOO is must better than other players. We hope every rest players can be serious on sound quality. We hope every really consumer can really enjoy the high quality player.

But I don’t think it is good way to make a vague conclusion that one player is better than others. If there is no detailed compare, or based on the image to make a conclusion, it will damage the reviewer’s fame and unfair to the potential buyers of the related players.

As a representative of Hisoundaudio, I have no right to ask any body to love our player. I also, I am really not defend our player is must better than others. We respect any personal conclusion. I only hope the conclusion is based on the careful A/B comparing and based on the carefully observation. We like to see what is our players’ difference to others. We than can improve it.

Anyway, I really hope you can firstly check our ROCOO’s price than not based on imagining. Then make your comments.

This is probably the most bullsh@#ty comment I've ever read from a manufacturer. If I still had my RoCoo player, I'd definitely sell it after reading this comment. If the PR person of HiSound is watching this thread or if it's the same person, I'd highly suggest that he/she delete these ridiculous responses for the sake of the future of their company.

I saw a sketch of this on the colorfly site, pairing them with the er4, is that an scatch or the designer make its unit with the ER4 in mind? Can someone who has both unit comment on the synergy of this two devices?

Does the display only consist of 2 lines?

Do you need to unlock it when you want to change volume? Would it be possible to use it blindly without taking it out of your pocket?

It certainly comes off that way but there is obviously a language gap  that may make the wording seem much more severe than intended. It's past and the C3 looks quite nice for it's intended purpose. I doubt I'll get to hear one but I'd like to. My biggest gripe (still a small one) with it and the RoCoo is battery time so I'm trying a Studio V next.

Stozzer. I noticed you said you preferred the C3 to the 5g, iBasso/Arrow combo.

What is it you like about the C3 compared to the latter? I assume sound, but not power?

My plan is to replace my Touch 4g with the C3 for file playback and use the Touch for WiFi streaming(Pandora, etc).

Battery life of the studio v is very appealing despite the price tag, meant to sound great too, although i like a tiny bit more warmth than is advised that it has.
