No info at this point, but I'm having fantastic results with the F807 & JH13pro pairing. I believe the 4.A is also a multi-drivers balanced armature.

i noticed that the F actually is hissing when the screen is on, no music playing, and not touching anything on the screen. if the screen is off, there is no hiss.
Finally got mine after a month of wait...
White F807 with engraving from Sony Store
Haven't had a listen as I'm still filling her with 911 songs and few pictures...but man, the screen is really small, I'm already used to my Xperia S lol
wheres the engraving? haha
that would be a nice engraving if there is a cat behind it
lol, yeah.
kinda disappointed they didn't make them centered, but it's fine.
another complain about F807 is that she doesn't have notification lamp, at least i want to know when my battery is low or something...
Hi, did you get this from the Sony Japan website?
I finally bought a case for my F807, and it cost me only 3 euros with free shipping (sorry for the quality).
I doubt it is real leather, but the quality is really good for the price, definitely better than what I expected when I first saw the pictures on amazon.
usually its home + power but it doesnt work with the F apparently
yep, sony store japan
power button + vol down at the same time. hold for a cpl of secs
I'm quite tempted by this player, but I have a couple of questions. I recall the A series also had the same Master Amp, but I remember a lot of people complaining that it hissed a lot. A dated mini-review from Shizgeo mentioned how it had this clicking noise, and another member mentioned (I can't recall whom) that Sony players handled dynamic arms well, but can't handle IEMs with multiple balanced arms. I plan on getting a pair of customs down the road, and they probably won't be dynamic based. It could all be silly nonsense, but this isn't really a cheaper player, so I'm making sure of things.
Sony's been reaching out for my wallet lately, that's for sure. This, and the 1R both look great. It's a shame I can't pick up both :/
Short first impression (I'm not good in making long detailed impression anyway)
I do hear the hiss as well, which is not too apparent so I don't really mind
I hate that they are using the new type of jack (which is used in Sony Xperias since 2011), these jacks won't be able to detect the old 4-pin 3.5mms, so my K3003 have to use the adapter as well
Love the soundstage, but the bass is still boomy, hope it will be better after burning in.
Nice treble, detail, and vocal

Hate to burst your bubble here.
Unless your player has the "S-Master Pro MX" built in, then it won't compare. I have a regular Sony S walkman, but the F80x, A86x, and Z10x0 are much better sounding. If you need dedicate buttons, check out the A864, 5, 6, 7 Walkman. These top of line A-series have a digital amp built-in and sound just as good as the Z & F.
Sorry I was sleepy. I meant the A-866 which is the one I have, in my sig lolol
