I think to buy a 16 GB version for the study of sound!smily_headphones1.gif

What headphone do you have?  The F807 is geared toward clarity & details.  Treble heavy headphones may not be a good match.  A headphones with warmer and neutral tonality will work great with the F walkman.  Bass is tad less than the A in quantity but the F has tighter bass.

^ This. I use it with the Westone 4 and my Mad Dogs with mine (both have neutrally warm sounds)...

Hey guys, I just got the 806 waiting to test it with the new PHA-1 and discovered something new by accident: it will stream to my Klipsch G-17 with the Media Player (party stream off) that only suppose to support AirPlay!  I don't have any other AirPlay device to test this whether it is a fluke or not, so if any of you have a 8 series and an Apple AirPlay speakers, then please test this out.  Thanks.

Seriously Kvud..we did answer your questions - several in fact.  The best thing to do is to audition prior to making the purchase.  Oh, we still think your Japanese Z is broken.

I doubt someone will buy a broken Z. Also, this is the F's thread, so please stay on topic.

Can the F series be bought in Canada?

Edit: just saw the E580 released with 77 hours battery life and FLAC support...and will that be launched in North America? tongue_smile.gif

Will the E580 support 24/96?

Greatly doubt that, as neither the Z nor the F do.

I'm planning on getting the F807 as it is 100 bucks cheaper than the comparable Z model and I don't need video. Can I sync it with my library using MediaMonkey or a similar library manager or do I have to use Sony's software?

It's drag and drop, so even Windows Media Player will sync with it.  But again, the Media Go isn't half bad.
