Okay, after a bit more research and calculating, I've come to the conclusion that it would be a lot easier and cheaper if I would just buy an ordinary F806 from Amazon Germany.

Thanks anyways folks smily_headphones1.gif

Is this thing able to play FLAC files?
And is there any way to change the language of the store? frown.gif

If you can, buy a US or Japanese unit.  I used to own the US A865 and UK A867 and the US version sounded noticeably more dynamics and less compressed compared to the UK unit.  The A860 series also feature the S-Master MX digital amplification just like the F80x, and Z10x0 series but without Andriod OS.   I personally just don't trust the European unit due to the volume restriction regulations.

The A... series is not that easy to get here in Germany :/

Is it possible to bypass the volume restriction with a different music-player app i.e. Poweramp or Neutron(?) ?
Oh and is this pmp able to play FLAC files? If not, is there an app for that?

What I'm trying to say is beware of the Euro version as it may sound inferior to other regions.  I can't confirm whether this is true on the Z or F, but I can confirm this on the A walkman.  The F is Flac supported with the Sony music app.

i setting on clear stereo and DSEE

Greetings to all , apologize for my English because I speak Spanish

First of all, welcome on Head-fi and congrats for your purchase.

Concerning the battery life issue, it also happened to me at the very beginning, to the point that I began to believe that people were liying when they claimed to exceed 20h of autonomy.

But be patient, you'll see that the battery life becomes better and better (until a certain point of course).

The last time I tested the battery life, it lasted 24 hours (and still had 9% of battery life).

In my opinion, the F and the Z have the best battery life for an android DAP, so don't worry.

Also you need to know that the battery life will last longer if you do not use the wifi or the bluetooth

I never touched the EQ (not even in order to try) as I do not see the utility.

I don't know, if you like the sound with clear stereo and DSEE on, you should continue like that..

It depends on your tastes.

Personlly I don't use them.

It helps to have the screen brightness set well to the low end, and if you don't need wifi be sure to turn it off, and perhaps even put it on airplane mode.

That combination helps lengthen run time quite significantly...

Good luck, hope you enjoy the F.
