We are the special ones.  I don't feel bad not getting an update though.  It will be nice to have the extra features but my F807 is already capable of playing FLAC. :)

Actually, I think it was sold under the counter. Well, I have no regrets. My player plays and it's awesome!

yup.  super  fast and almost twice as fast as the Z Walkman .

only the 'under the counter' units have no serial #. i think they were supplied non boxed hence why they were cheaper. i got a boxed 806 direct from a retail store in japan. it has a serial # and applied the recent update with problem smile.gif
