BTW, I wholeheartedly endorse DACLadder's efforts in fabricating an I2S SE LVTTL to balanced LVDS via HDMI conversion board.  The resulting sound is very engaging and high fidelity, supported by an expansive sound stage. Lots of air between notes.  Satisfying in an absolute sense.

Of course this is in concert with using a high quality HDMI connecting cable.  Digital cable 1/0 databit arguments notwithstanding, I'm finding silver conductor wire does make a significant difference in the music air and placement.  Go figure.  Evidently cable impedance can make some sort of sonic impact once the jitter smear noise level is removed.  I would recommend a short lengthed silver clad OFC copper conductor cable at minimum.

By the way, is the Dynamo power supply worthy? I ordered Off5+Dual turbo+Hynes regs but not sure about the Dynamo

The Dynamo is a giant leap above the standard supplied power supply.  It made a difference in my system.  But is very expensive.  There are other power supply options that others have been using with their OR5s that may be as good and cost a lot less.

I concur sir. But for me and you I was tired of chasing
And just gave up LOL

Has anyone tried the Yellotec Puc2 Lite with the M7?  I wonder how it compares to the OR5?

Yeah, I've seen that one but unfortunately it doesn't include the Yellowtec Puc2.  However, I do see that in that shootout they rated the Audiophilleo 95/100 and I've heard the Yellowtec is supposed to be much better than Audiophilleo.  So, I was just curious if anyone tried it and what their impression was.

Put a post up over there. Someone over there may have one.
Does the one you are talking about do native dsd or dsd over DOP in a 176 PCM packet ?

I'm not sure.  Here the link on the manufacturer's website:  http://www.yellowtec.de/products-lp/puc2-lp/puc2-lite.html

I did a plot spectrum on Master-7 and I can say that this DAC is not neutral but more warm with the USB32 input.

And here's NFB-1.32 that's more neutral.

LOL, if those measurements are legit, both of your DACs are broken.

I suppose it is pink noise generated with Audacity?

If yes, the M7 is weird, the NFB-1 is fine.

M7 fed 24/96 via USB using POS built-in soundcard on cheap laptop

PWD2 fed 24/96 via USB  using POS built-in soundcard on cheap laptop

@ mowglycdb: I'm missing information about the kind of signal feeding in. A plot spektrum shows afaik the spectral distribution of frequency in relation to time. What you probably intend to proof would be shown more clearly imho by a so called logsweep.
@ purrin: that looks coherent.
