I have the HE-500s and thoroughly enjoy them for rock music. I also have a Schiit Lyr powering them, so that adds to the sound quality of course. They actually really aren't that hard to drive though compared to the 5LEs and HE-6s. The HE-400s are a good option as well, especially if you aren't willing to invest in an amp at all.
