For Sale or Trade:
BHSE, SR-009, SR-007 MK1, SR-007a (fromJapan)

Will Ship To: Anywhere

1.  I am the first owner of the first BHSE ever made- serial # 001.  This was Justin's personal BHSE.   He put a new face plate on it before shipping it to me because he put his last and only pair (at that time) of Stax original jacks and needed to replace the face of the amp in oder to accomplish that.

I would rate it an 8/10 condition to be safe.   I have taken perfect care of it since I purchased it.  Voltage is 220.

I will not sell this amp. without including 9 sets (of four) GE and Sylvania fat boy tubes.  There is one main reason for this and one secondary reason for this.  The main reason is I refuse to sell them separately- it is a hassle.   Second reason is I tested many many highly acclaimed tubes- on this amp. and these are the best.  They present the clearest, most dynamic sound with the largest soundstage and tonally the are at least equal to the Mullards (to my ears).    I want the buyer of this amp. to have the best sonic experience.  If you want the best you will need these and you will need spares.

I replaced the fuse in the amp with a Hi-Fi Tuning Supreme fuse.  It makes a difference.

2.  The SR-009 are from price Price Japan.  I am the first owner.  They are mint with case, box, etc..  Like New

3.  The SR-007a is direct from Price Japan as well.  They are three or so months old- and in mint condition.  Box, case included.  Like New.

4.  The SR-007 MK1 was bought from Kuboten (if I remember correctly).   They are in at least 8/10 condition.  I replaced the cable about a year ago.  This unit comes with two extra STAX original cables and 2-3 sets of brand new original ear-pads.  It is well known that star drivers are good for 40 to 50 years but the cable on the 007 MK1 does go bad.  You need these cables and the ear-pads if you are serious about long term use of these headphones, especially when they are out of production and cables and ear-pads may not be available forever.  I also have a brand new Stax original head pad for these headphones.

I am not in a rush to sell these.  Thank G-D I am not financially strapped.   Therefore, I will not take low bids.  I would rather keep the system than be lowballed.   Pictures are to come in about a week as the system is currently carefully wrapped in my storage room and I cannot access it for about a week.

Some possible trades I would consider:

1.  ATH ESW9 headphones.

2. ATH- W3000ANV.

3.  Burson HA160.

4. Sony R-10 bass heavy.

5.  ATH-W5000ANV Amplifier

6. LA7000 Headphones.

I must have phone communication with the buyer before any commitment.  It is necessary for both of us to communicate and understand each other before going ahead with anything this serious.

Anything on this list can be shipped worldwide and arrive at your door in 3-5 days by express delivery from Israel.

Thanks for reading my adv..

I have had several questions about the BHSE price.

Price is $10,000 including Pay Pal, insurance and shipping to anywhere in the world.

Now- many will be asking how I came up with this price.

1.  I paid $7,500 for this because it is unique.   It is Justin's original personal BHSE.

2.  It has Original Stax Jacks unlike other BHSE's.

3.  It includes 36 GE/Sylvania Fat Boy tubes which cost me close to $4,000 and can be resold by the buyer on E bay direct to the customer for the same price I paid for them should he not want them.

4.  You do not have to wait 1-2 years for delivery.  It is at your door in several days.

5.  Several months ago someone PM'd me and offered me this sum for this package and I refused- so I think it is reasonable.

I would drop the price to $8,250 with no tubes included as I can easily sell the tubes wholesale to a tube reseller for more than the difference.

I now am being asked several questions on the SR-009 Price which I want to deal with.

Many people say the SR-009 from Price Japan is $4,250.

Well- that is exactly what I paid NOT INCLUDING shipping, insurance, ALL pay pall fees, and duties when it reached the US.

All together a new SR-009 will cost anyone out there around $4,700 when all is said and done and even if you drop the insurance and take the risk of loss when shipping from Japan- it is still much more than $4,250.  I therefore believe that $3,700 is reasonable.

In addition, I will take the Pay Pal, and shipping hit on my end which will leave me with much less than $3,700.

This is the justification for my price.

One point regarding the BHSE I forgot to mention.   It has the Alps RK50 upgraded volume control.  I am not sure they are even available any more.  Maybe someone could confirm this point.

Following is a response I gave someone when he requested a price for the SR-007 MK1:

I am thinking about $2800.  I am not sure yet 100%.  I need to get a feel of the market.

Remember- this includes two extra brand new original Stax cables which cost me $350 each.

It includes 3 sets of earpads- original- brand new ($130 each).  Includes a new Stax headpad (forgot price I paid).

It includes shipping, insurance, and pay pal fees as well.

Thanks,

Steven

RK50 are discontinued. Sourcing them now is a PITA and the price is well above $700 a piece, but I think Justin has stoked many of them, so RK50 is still available in new BHSEs.

007MK1 market price in mint condition (in the shrink wrap, never opened) is probably around $1800, so even with all the misc, $2800 seems a bit too high.

Just my $0.02.

not trying to bash the price, but you can't really expect to sell the misc at retail price or at 95% of the retail price no matter how minty they are. and $1800 is referring to near mint shrink wrap new 007MKI.
