What about the sound compared to the Z ?

on a short comparison headphone socket to headphone socket i prefer the note 2. Sweeter sound and better soundstage/depth to my ears.

Actually every model of the Note II uses Samsung Exynos and has a Wolfson DAC.

Anyone with comments on the HP out for the Note 2 and comparisons to other things like the iPhone's etc?

Do you mean the sq? I like note 2 better compared to the iphone 4s, and its pretty comparable to the likes of j3 or the n1, totally losses out to my new ak100 though

I would guess that they are not in the same class, dedicated vs multi-usage.

Well they are not, but not because dedicated or multi usage, the dx100 can do whatever the j3 can and the j3 still loses out

but once you add a portable amp/dac the note wins again! hows the camera on the ak100?

? Sq doesnt need cameras and when i compared it to the apex glacier the ak100 had already wins out again

Might be better off going with a dedicated source in that case I reckon.

Some objective assessement...from the good folks of Goldenears.net

It does great the most important thing (output impedance) and acceptable in the rest of areas. Overall i think that it's a good pair for balanced armature iems.
