Depends.  Some might, some might not.  Some parts might decay like caps (over decades), and some won't.  How well it's taken care of will matter (not throwing amps down a flight of stairs), and luck might matter (not having random components fail).

Nothing lasts forever, but some of this stuff might last generations.

Exactly: Nothing lasts forever.

My parents' 1962 Grundig (tube) radio still works. My 1976 Nikko receiver still works. But, neither of those is a modern, headphone amp.

Some manufacturers are really good creating stuff that last for a long time. If you fell in love with your gear it may need some recapping and you are ready to go.

Mostly No. They can degrade over time, but when they stop working, its more likely some outside influence is the cause. other reasons could be poor assembly and or poor design.

I swear if anyone quotes Dust in the Wind...

There are guitar players out there that are performing on Fender amps from the 1960s. However, some of the internals have probably been replaced like the caps and perhaps a resister or two. There are people out there who restore old radios from early part of the 20th century and sell them on eBay.
