V-Moda y NAD are picky comfort wise. Try them if possible.

Unfortunately Portugal is not a very good place to test headphones.... XD

I only have the chance to try the momentums and not much else.... i have to buy the 1rs and the psbs to try them.... the nad's and the v-modas are not available in Portugal ....

PSBs are kind of big but they are really comfortable and are going to sound better than 1R if you don't mind the looking. V-Moda are really detailed but extremely bassy. I like the NAD the most but my ears touched the drivers and are slightly uncomfortable.

I'm from Spain although I currently live in the States, so I know what you are talking about. There's ways to get them though: There's companies in the States where you can send what you buy and send the items back to Europe. I could help you as well but I know you wouldn't feel that safe.

Happy New Year, by the way. smily_headphones1.gif

Here in europethings are too expensive for instance it the m80s costed 50 bucka as it costs there now i would already have a pair.... The m80s cost 200!!!!!!! Euros in europe, its insane....

In the UK the M100s cost £240, if they were £200($300) I would have a pair by now.

They translate the prices $1:€1 (and then to GBP) and my gut feeling is that the reason remains in the high taxes in Europe. You are better trying to buy used. That's the best way to fool the taxes. Sometimes importing works as well.

Guys the pair of mdr 1rs i can get is in mint condition but not everything is perfect.... i can get them for 80 euros as i said but basically they come only with the pouch and the ios cable (no box, regular cable or purchase papers for warranty...).... Still worth it for the price?

Does the volume controler cable works with other devices like a nexus 7 (not the volume controllet, just the cable itself....)? The volume controller on the momentums only worked with ios devices and if this one does not works with anything that is not ios based i think i will pass the deal since i am using my nexus 7 more and more....

Get any 3.5 mm male to male jack, it'll be fine.

Mine worked with my Nexus 4 but not my Nexus 7, but it think yours may work. The volume never works on Android, but the middle button can be used to skip tracks.

I am not concerned about the volume controller, i just want the cable to make the headphones play music..... XD

For instance the philips uptown do not work with my arc s. It shows a message saying unknown accessory or something like that.....

Yeah you should be alright with the middle button for some reason though it worked on my phone but not my tablet.

You just have to check the cable to see if it is designed for iOS or Android. usually 3-button cables are for iOS & 1-button cables are for Android. You can download an android app to allow for double click the one-button to do something else.

note: I do not believe there are any 3-button cables out there for android.

Yeah Apple has patented the circuit design of how the volume buttons work or something like that.

Is there any word yet on how the MK2's differ / improve on the originals?
